We have stayed at Lake O'Hara Lodge on over thirty occasions. Each of our four children and their spouses have enjoyed the place. Our son was seven on his first visit. Hiking is the main summer activity and it ranges from easy ( a walk around the lake) to very strenuous and/or technical. The views are (surprise!) spectacular. The food and service...

Lake O’Hara Lodge offers the best way to savor hiking in the Lake O’Hara region – the most magical and captivating place we’ve ever seen. First and foremost – the Lodge provides great food and comfortable beds so that you can immerse yourself in absolutely breathtaking hikes. From the moment you arrive, it is a hiker’s paradise, with views in...

O'Hara and the Lodge are amazing! We stayed for 3 nights in the lodge, our 29th visit over 37 years. The hiking is superb. Makes all other hiking areas pale. Trails are in such wonderful condition and there are few people on them, not like Cinque Terra. The mountains were in their glory with snow sprinkled at the top and...

Alison and Bruce are the penultimate innkeepers. They hire amazing chefs, staff to clean, serve meals, drive the bus, and there is a no tipping policy. Everyone is thrilled to be there! The hiking is simply outstanding. You can see back country lakes, larch trees ablaze in September and stay either in a cozy lodge room with shared bathrooms or...

Wow, the setting is spectacular, they make everything so easy to enjoy the outdoors by providing wonderful warm service, convenient and delicious food, comfortable beds, and the best company to discuss your hikes! We stayed in a guide cabin which was a one bedroom cabin with a Murphy bed and a sofa bed in the living area with its own...

Lake O'Hara Lodge is a beautiful setting. As others have mentioned, you must plan well in advance to get a reservation, and it is cost prohibitive for most. Guests who have stayed at the lodge in the past have priority for reservations, which may be why the demographic bends towards toward the over 60 set. Hiking for the most part...

Hiking at Lake O'Hara is extraordinary. Emerald green lakes in the cirques of mountains with glaciers on them and great views from ledges are the reward for day hikes. The Lodge and cabins are rustic but just about perfect. The food is excellent and the staff and owners are always helpful. What a treat to be able to eat like...

What an incredible gem!!! I was very fortunate to be able to stay for 3 nights at the Lake O'Hara lodge. Our family have been going there for 8 years and we were lucky to join them and experience the pure tranquility that is Lake O'Hara. We stayed in lakeside cabin #11 which was just perfect and had everything we...

I really did luck out when I was able to get into the Lake O'Hara Lodge. I called last December and I think the only reason I got in was because I was coming by myself, so they gave the small room with a double bed (#8) in the lodge, which was the only room which still had availability for...

This was our second time at Lake O'Hara Lodge and it was just as good as the first. We were greeted by name when we arrived and throughout our stay. How special is that? The staff will take care of your every need including ice packs for sore feet! The spring was warmer this year so all the trails were...
