Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar hotel garners praise for its aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, steeped in cultural and historical significance, with its Spanish-themed ambiance being a particular highlight for guests. Travelers appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and commend the professional and kind staff, despite occasional service delays and misinformation. While the historic charm is celebrated, some guests report that rooms could benefit from modern amenities and improved water services. The hotel's dining and additional services, though considered overpriced by many, are still recognized by some for their value. However, the variety of activities and overall experience sometimes face criticism due to amenity limitations and maintenance concerns.

We had a 3-night stay at this hotel in a standard king room.

The room was very spacious with a large bathroom which contained both a bath and shower. It reminded me of the historical Manila Hotel.

We had great views of the waterways from our room.

I did use their large pool (Batis) but it could certainly do with some maintenance as the paint was peeling in many places.

As it was during the week and off peak not all the restaurants were open. Generally one restaurant was open for dinner. We did try the italian, Spanish and Filipino Restaurants.

Breakfast was impressive with lots of options but mainly Filipino Cuisine.

There is so much to do at this resort, so a day trip is not the best way to spend your time here. We did a walking tour, boat tour, calesa ride, and saw the cultural dancing in the evening. There are also so many historical homes and the oriente hotel to visit and take pictures.

There is a shuttle on demand to get around but its mostly all walkable except reception which is some distance away. There is also a historical tram that services part of the resort.

We found house-keeping staff excellent, friendly and obliging with any requests we made.

I took my family and friends who live in the US to Las Casas. It's not my first visit but it is for them. It is incredible that we have such a wonder in the Philippines. My last visit was last year, there were still restrictions with COVID but Las Casas has changed and the service offering has improved. The raft tour through the canals is impressive, the walking tour with very knowledgeable guides was a great experience. They now have some very professional cultural shows and we really enjoyed them. Music, art and culture are everywhere and it was great to be able to show everyone this fantastic sample of Filipino culture. We ate at the Filipino restaurant, although somewhat expensive, they have menus for families that are very convenient. Breakfast is somewhat limited but is included in the price of the room. The service in the restaurant with smiling and effective employees even though it was full. And at night we had pizza with the family at the Italian restaurant.

Worth it even though it's pricey. Loved the architecture, courteous staff, we truly appreciate the thought management put in on this place. There's a beach place but waves prevented me from enjoying my swim. Two restaurants were open for dinner, we opted for the Italian one, which served good but pricey food, so be warned. Buffet bfast was definitely good, lots of options, even for non-carb foodies. Room was good enough, although the room designated to us was a bit problematic for me because the bathroom needs you to step up to get into it, which is a great hassle for a disabled person like me. Also, walking around the place was a challenge too, there's a great distance between each place but the beauty of the place is worth it. The in-house dancers performed cultural dances when the night set in, entertaining the guests and making us smile and applauding hard while watching. We definitely want to go back again

Let me start where our nightmare begins

We arrived at 1030am, go straight to their reception,do the usual checkin process and was informed that I’ll be receieving a call once our room is ready. So we decided to take a quick nap on their veranda and roam around after just to kill time. Around 1230 I went upstairs asking if they do cater early checkins (as based from my past experiences some hotels can let you even checkin at 1pm) but to no avail, as their standard checkin is at 3pm. Then we decided to go outside for lunch. We returned around 2:15 and asked the receptionist why i haven’t received a call yet, he says they are just preparing our room. I asked him if my beach view request was granted and he said Yes that’s what they are preparing for. Come 315 and we havent still received a call so I went again upstairs and asked for an update but the guy wasn’t there and the lady just handed me over a card key.

As we arrived to the building where supposedly our room is, there’s no even hotel staff to assist you, worst we even go outside and look for someone to check where might our room is. We found one guy far from our building and they mentioned it was on the 2nd floor, so we go back again carrying our luggage and look for our room and no one ever assisted us .(Tip: if you travel alone or only with a group of girls better ask for the 1st floor as no one will assist you to carry up your baggage)

We entered our room and voila! this is not the beach view that i have requested for. Rooms are not properly cleaned, A/C is too noisy, no bidet, the building itself are not well-maintained. I called their hotline to check what happen to my request and was just informed that Sea View is actually based on the availabilty, then why do the receptionist confirmed that indeed my request has been approved and they are just preparing it. So I just shrugged it off as I’ve been pissed off the whole day and I don’t want to ruined our supposedly stress free vacation.

Breakfast at Hotel Oriente will dissapoint you. Limited option for a breakfast viand. The service is like a carinderia style. We even found a dead fly on our waffle plate, we informed the staff but didn’t bother to apologize and only commented that we can just get a new one and that’s our que to leave the place. (Kuhang Kuha talaga nila ang inis ko!)

Overall, if your visit to Las Casas was just to take pictures and experience Phil Heritage then this might be for you but with their rocket price for an overnight stay, horrible service and untidy room you might opt out and look for a different hotel that can match what you have paid for.

And for me, Never again to this hotel!!!

Las Casas is one of the countries known and well visited tourist destination in the Philippines. This place should bring pride to Bataan. However, with my recent stay, starting with check in, it didnt go smoothly as I imagined it to be knowing that it has been operating since 2010.I have experienced better services and facilities in my previous stay but this stay which happened to be my birthday was the worst. I booked via agoda, a deluxe room 2125 in Estero beach front. True enough, the negative reviews here are very accurate. The room given to me had a broken Ref, had clogged toiltets, had no water heater, had no bath towels. All are which basic ammenities in a normal hotel. I even had complete ammenities in a recent hostel I stayed at! Shouldn't management check all the rooms and facilities before providing these rooms to clients? They keep building new establishments but FAIL TO MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE at the same time their hotel. The things mentioned above are basic hotel ammenities and they failed to fix it during my stay. One staff even vaped inside the bathroom while engineers tried fixing the heater. Lastly, unlike normal hotels they still do not have a phone or intercom to easier make requests to staff and reception. What they have are mobile numbers via viber which takes forever to answer your requests. Lastly, i barely got some sleep since staff started cleaning the upper floor early in the morning so I can hear the vacumming and the movements of furnitures. Very terrible for relaxation. Oh check out was even worst, they have the same check in and check out staff and the staff would make you wait even though u just have to check out and drop your key. The only thing that remained beautiful was the casas and the experience. But the Facilities of the Hotel and some staff especially customer service needs lots of improvement. I reached out to Las Casas numbers and emails for this however like other comments, left with no resolution since clients have been having the same issue. Not a good place to bring tourists especially for an overnight. Department of Tourism and Bataan Lgu should be doing something about this. So sad because balikbayans and foreigners would love this place but the hotel facilities is just bad. Imagine paying for a clogged toilet.:( Appreciate the Christmas programs. also they should have bathrooms all over the place that should be accessible especially for seniors. Room 2125 also had a power interuption.Floors of the hotel were dusty and unkept. They keep building new structures but fail to Maintin and upkeep their basic hotel facilities. That nuff said is not worth it for the price anymore.Hope management checks their reviews and The owner Sir Jerry Acuzar along with the General Managers do spot checks once in a while and listen to reviews for them to improve the place. Tourist spot pa naman.

We arrived on new years eve and were blown away with the beauty and history of the place. Had reservations for buffet dinner, which started 1.5 hours late, and ATV ride the next day, which was 45 minutes late. The rooms also didn't have wifi, the shower was falling apart, and the toilet only flushed some of the time.
The feelings we had in the end were very mixed because the place was stunning but the place was so poorly managed ( for a place that charged more than 300$ per night)

I stayed here for 1 night. The grounds are meticulously kept and there was a lot of attention paid to details of the historical homes (both original and replicas). The staff were all very friendly. The place itself is very beautiful.
However, when it comes to lodging and restaurants, there are many improvements to be made.
1. Our hotel room did not have any towels. We found one attendant when we first checked in; when we told him about it, he said they were currently out of towels but would bring some later. None ever arrived. We returned to our room late, after the cultural show and dinner, and there were no towels, no attendants in sight, and no way to contact the front desk. There was no phone inside the room, and no sign of how to get in touch for help. Their website only listed a sales office in Manila, which, of course, was closed.
2. There was no hot water, but that point was moot since we didn't have any towels anyway.
3. We ate at the Italian restaurant, and it took about 45 minutes just to order, and another 45 minutes or so to get our food, which was just 2 pizzas. They even forgot our calamari, which we canceled since we didn't want to wait another 45 minutes. There was only 1 waiter, 1 busboy, and 1 greeter/usher/helper. I saw a whole table get up and leave because the service was so slow. The restaurant was very poorly managed and severely understaffed. Considering there are not very many places inside the resort to eat, and it's too far to leave the resort to eat elsewhere, Las Casas needs to ensure that guests have good dining experience.
When we complained about it during check out, we didn't get anything except "Sorry po". The resort needs to put equal attention to the hotel and restaurants as it has on the environment.

We had a very terrible stay! We already coordinated EVERYTHING before-hand and made a full payment. We had an event in Bataan and booked for 18 rooms. We had an advance party to check in our luggages before 3pm BUT they they dont have any consideration for us, imagine we had many VIPs and we need their luggages check in their rooms before they arrived but the keys were only given 30 mins after 3pm, only to find, their staff have an access to all the rooms. Imagine what we had been through. Staff told us that they need to ensure the cleanliness of the rooms before they hand us over the keys, only to find out there were used tissues in our closet. The hotel is definitely not worth the price. Moreover, during the buffet dinner, we already coordinated the food restrictions of the VIPs, however, they still served dishes with shrimps and seafoods, we requested the kitchen staff to replace the whole platter, but the chef walked out on me saying he cannot cook but eventually when he realized we will pay for the replacement, he agreed to cook. Finally, we settled the additional fees incurred during our stay so that our VIPs will not be held at the exit, they insisted someone had to stay behind for any left items in the rooms. So we had 1 team stayed for 1 hour for las casas to finish checking the room. Then we arrived to Manila, two of our VIPs left an item in their rooms. It means they didnt checked the rooms and we found out that there were guests staying in the rooms, they called us the following day 11:20am saying they found the missing item, we suspect they didnt really check and clean the rooms! We dont recommend Las Casas ever again!

Las Casas staff not following Health and Safety Protocol. We ate in La Bella Teodora and we noticed that the kitchen staff weren’t wearing masks. I had to request the waiter to tell them to do so. One kitchen staff (who was late) didn’t follow. The one making the drinks didn’t as well.

And Las Casas is claiming that all staffs are required to wear face masks. Rating this poor instead of terrible because I like the place but it’s not COVID-19 safe.

Place is great with various activities to do. Best beach I have been to in Bataan so far. People(staff) are very friendly.

Management is very poor. System is a failure with no clear procedures. Backwards mentality with customer satisfaction NOT a priority. As an example, with 2 senior citizens as part of the group, we were still required to transfer using their jeepneys instead of being picked up directly from their place of stay with our own vehicle. Issues only 1 card per room even though there are 4 people in the room thus requiring that you schedule yourselves in order to get in. Food took long to arrive in the restaurants(approx 1 hr). Merienda place accepts cash only for payment(cannot put in to your room account) thus you need to get money while swimming(as it is near the pool and beach) if you want to eat merienda. There were a lot more hassles encountered that you might wonder if there is a management at all.

This place could be great but needs a lot of improvement in terms of management. Cannot recommend this for foreigners who might not like the inconveniences that their system has. It is like dealing with the Philippine government.
