With a shower approaching we ducked into this small unassuming, but inviting, restaurant. we had a pizza, a beer and wine. all well above average for 11 Euros. The service was good and the waitress helpful with local knowledge for us with limited Spanish language skills. This place is very near the beach which unfortunately was closed because of the...

We stayed for one night. Location was great. Accommodation in the nearby building was alright. The best was the surrounding!! We are thinking to spend more time here next summer, maybe an apartment in a small town at the seaside with a beach.

This hotel has the a most amazing location with a 360 degree view of the Ocean. The room we stayed in was tiny but cozy and had a view if you stepped up to look out the dormer window. The guest house host is very friendly and helpful. We had a good dinner and breakfast here.

This hotel was a former maritime signalling station for this stretch of wild Galician coast. It has been cleverly converted into a well-designed small hotel, and commands fantastic views all round. Even though it is on top of an exposed headland, there are well-tended gardens, sheltered by hedges and huge boulders. The owner, Xavier, is a really nice guy, very...

We stayed for one night in the extraordinary room of Semaforo de Bares. It has windows on 5 of it's 6 sides and you have a beautiful 360-degree view. It is like a birds nest and we couldn't stop to look around in the nature.

We were ‘discovering ‘the Bares Peninsula, including the Semaforo Hotel, high above Porto de Bares when we made an enquiry as to availabilty in this highly sought –after hotel. Only one room was available (very small) and we thought long and hard about taking it. Any doubts did not last long and whilst exploring the nearby lighthouse, we decided the...

The hotel is in a great (if there's no sea fog it can offer amazing views) spot at the tip of a peninsula, 5 minutes drive from the village of Porto de Bares (fantastic beach and a couple of nice cafes). We booked the 'superior standard room' which is the annexe, not the main building. Unfortunately these rooms have been...

We stayed at Semaforo de Bares on May 2013. It is located in the top of Estaca de Bares overlooking the Rías de O Barqueiro and Ortigueira with an impressive view over the sea (where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Bay of Biscay) and the Rias. The views and sunset are impressive. There are many locations around including the Bares...

We were looking for a quiet getaway in a remote location with decent views of the sea, and the Semaforo seemed a promising proposition. But everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The location is simply stunning: our sea view was not just decent, but about 348 degrees, and the surrounding gardens - laid out in sympathy with the local...
