Of all the pubs I go to....& it's a fair few...this is by far my favourite. It's situated in a beautiful sleepy Sussex village with an impressive church dead opposite. I found the pub by accident about 5 years ago....& I'm so glad I did. Inside it combines very old with modern...& it works so well. The staff are very...

This pub has had a really good reputation for some time now, and I can see why. There is a cosy snug/bar and a modern, clean restaurant. The staff are all very friendly and the service was polite and efficient without being intrusive. The menu is pub orientated and may seem slightly over priced for a pub but that's because...

This is now our regular B&B we use for when we visit friends in Sussex, and is now becoming popular with our friends. Most recently we stayed for a weekend in October, booking all four rooms for the bridal party the days before my wedding. The rooms were spotless as usually, all of a decent size, comfortable beds, nepresso machines...

Amazing lunch for my nephew's 21st on Saturday, staff were fantastic as was the food and atmosphere! We were at the Ivy Chelsea Garden the previously week and the Cat was just as good, if not better👍

We came here for an over night stay and dinner . The room was excellent with all quality mod cons and a wonderful view of the village and south downs . The dinner was perfect with a large selection of wines available . The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly . We will be back !

I hadn't eaten here for a few years, as my last experience had been slightly disappointing, however, after friends kept saying I should return, I decided to do so and am pleased to add it back on my list of favourite local restaurants. I had hake with chorizo on a bed of lightly curried lentils and thinly sliced cauliflower and...

Came across this on our travels and stopped for lunch with 3 young kids including a baby. This is not a family pub, they advertise over 7's only but the lovely staff made us feel welcome and gave us a table out of the way. Please note no high chairs or baby changing. Food amazing but it was the staff...

We liked the food so much that we went back a week later for more . A varied and appealing menu - dishes with an exciting twist - the cod with curried lentils was simply delicious as was the lamb . The decor is characterful , old in some places and more modern in others and very clean. Our favourite...

Very pleasant lunch at the Cat Inn with excellent well presented food, an amazingly comprehensive wine list and friendly and efficient staff. Restaurant itself is simple and a bit rustic in decor. Adequate parking space. Well worth the visit. We will return.
