Only booked one night to accommodate a visit to Hebden Bridge Little Theatre. Our Hare and Hounds double room was very clean and comfortable with great views and all of the staff including landlady Jeanette were friendly and helpful. We were very pleasantly surprised by the evening food menu as we were informed that there was a gluten free pie... More

Almost the best vegetarian nut roast I have ever had. With full complement of mash and roast spuds, Yorkshire pud, al dent veg and lots of gravy. My husband's roast lamb had about four slices of succulent lamb piled up. Followed by jam roly poly. Pub atmosphere warm, friendly and relaxed. Great views across the moors.

Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful landlord and landlady. Generous food portions and a large range of Timothy Taylor beers. Ideal to stay with your dog. Good walking from immediately outside.

Simply a great place to stay for a short break. Hebden & surrounding are a jewel in the Calder Valley, and the Hare & Hounds makes a great base. Lovely people, nice food, great pub, clean & cosy rooms. The pub is up the hill from central Hebden, makes a great walk, and the views are pure Yorkshire. Hebden itself... More

A family overnight stay in the middle of an English summer, cold and rain and blustery wind. Friendly well stocked bar with a very competent kitchen providing very tasty and hearty meals. Cosy and comfortable rooms. (Bijou is a word that comes to mind!) Farm animals provide a nice and unique asset to the Inn. Great breakfasts to send us... More

Booked into the pub for a Thursday night stay. Shown to our room which was nice and cosy with fantastic views across the fields and hills. The pub didn't open until 6.00pm that day so the landlady recommended a couple of pubs in Hebden Bridge for lunch. It was a 30 minute walk down a very steep hill into the... More

The rooms were well fitted out with comfy beds, hot showers, tea and coffee and a lovely view. We ate in the bar both nights. The home cooked food was excellent with a good choice of dishes. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again.

Searched this place out on the Internet, as I needed to stop overnight somewhere between Preston and Wakefield - so drew a line on the map and looked at "Hebden Bridge" for somewhere to stay - Tripadvisor Reviews and website seemed ok so I booked hoping it would be ok. Hidden up a back lane just outside Hebden Bridge, the... More

After a long walk over the Yorkshire Moors I found myself in Lane Ends. The Landlord was welcoming and most amusing. I was delighted to find pet pigs and chickens in a field adjoining the garden, pigs are amusing creatures. My son assured that the food is excellent so I highly recommend a visit. Thank you for your hospitality Dave... More

What a delight this turned out to be. We sampled the Sunday roast, and meals on two different evenings. The landlord and landlady are extremely welcoming and the staff extremely friendly. Now the meals. A little disappointed with the Sunday roast, not in how it tasted as it was delicious but more with the lack of supporting veg. It was... More
