We spent a night at the Hare and Hounds and had a great time. Great bar, very convivial staff, great food and a comfortable nights sleep - all for a very reasonable cost. Having breakfast outside watching the amusing antics of the pet pigs and chickens was a bonus. Although the room wasn't huge it had all we needed and...

We spent one night at the Hare and Hounds, and also ate at their restaurant (see separate review). The pub enjoys a grand location in the 'Old Town', high above Hebden Bridge with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. It has an adjoining 'barnyard' featuring a brood of chickens and a couple of pet pigs that showed plenty of personality...

Stayed at this lovely homely B&B when we were going to a friends wedding at Hebden Bridge. Our room was small, but had everything you wanted, was very clean and had amazing views over the valley. The breakfast was lovely and had an added advantage of being available until 12 when we stayed. The friendly owners made this a very...

The Landlord and Landlady were very helpful and kind. Food great, especially as I do not eat meat; there was plenty of choice. Locals who used the pub were friendly and made me feel welcome as I was travelling alone. My room which was at the front was comfortable and clean with a great view which helped me to relax...

Originally booked as closest to the venue we were visiting for a wedding but was pleasantly surprised. I was initially worried as it is an old building that needs a refurb. However we found the rooms and pub to be immaculate and the service from everyone including the landlord and lady was friendly, welcoming and professional. The team couldn't have...

Had a lovely weekend staying here in the lead up to the Tour De Yorkshire passing close by. The room was lovely and clean. Bed was comfortable. Food in the evening was great. Try the fishcakes with black pudding! Breakfast was plentiful also. Stunning views around on a clear day also. Good selection of real ales from Timothy Taylor as...

Warm welcome , very relaxed, excellent food , and a location to die for . Would recommend the hare and hounds as a place to stay as it is just outside the hustle and bustle of hebden bridge , but close enough to walk into .

We visited Hebden Bridge from Bristol and found this pub after a lovely walk from the centre of town. It is perched higher up the valley with amazing views across the Calder Valley. Worth the visit alone. We were going to order Scampi and Lamb, but had a look at the separate curry menu. Wow! The curries were delicious. Apparently...

We regularly visit here after a walk for a few quiet drinks. The views are amazing. The service is brilliant and we have eaten here a couple of times too; would recommend the food. Lovely pub and staff. An area to sit outside too in summer. At the back of the pub there are a few pigs and hens.
