Have known The Bell casually for many years but recently seen it refurbished now it I is amazing, Fine dining at 'normal' prices . Very obliging staff. Decor is a welcome change from usual boring refurbished brewery type styles. Great quality without pretention. Only , but this is my regular complaint about restaurants , the ladies loo cubicles are very...

Thank you so much for your comments and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Noted with regards to the loos! As an eighteenth century building, we are sure you will appreciate, the limited scope for expansion/alteration and whilst the cubilcles are not overly spacious by any means, they are of a standard size. We have done,...

We loved our stay this weekend in the really quirky boutique style b&b. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier to get ready for the wedding we was attending that day. Could not of been more happy with the room and service and what a stunning place. Full English breakfast was great too :)

We found The Bell in Frommer's guide to England and Wales. The review sounded quite appealing, so we booked a stay last May. What a find! Everything about The Bell is top notch. The pub is warm and welcoming, the restaurant one of the best we experienced on our travels, the overnight accommodations very restful and comfortable, the grounds pleasant...

Third time lucky ...not ...Given "correct. " menu of the day .." Sorry they gave me the wrong one again " ..quoted our waitress.Fortunately the lady of more senior years who seemed to be the only one aware of customers helped us out ! Could we eat out side ...told initially no they're not serving food out side ...which was...

Kate has been with us for many years and is a gem. Her years of experience enable her to cope well, and particularly our more senior customers value her expertise, warm to her and have the upmost respect for her. She's an asset and soon has the new recruits in check and up to Bell standards.

We have been regular clients at the Bell for over 20 years. Excellent meal in newly extended dining room. We were passing, returning from Oxford, so had not booked,no problem. Delicious meal three though should have stopped at two!

We stayed at the Bell in Alderminster as treat to ourselves. We were lucky enough to be able to book one of the suites on the top floor and were very impressed when we arrived and were shown to our room. This was a family weekend away and my son was given a less than comfortable put you up bed,...

Many thanks for your comments and we are sincerely sorry if we didn't explain about the milk. We don't serve UHT milk in the rooms we like to serve fresh milk, along with the fresh coffee that is roasted locally, therefore this is readily available in the chiller located for all in the communal area. We always ensure that this...

I arranged a private dinner party here for my 60th birthday for 18 of my family, including 6 grandchildren. The food was superb and the service unsurpassed. I can't thank Tina and her staff enough for making my special birthday even more special. Three of the family stayed in rooms here too, and they were first class. Well done everyone....

We stayed for two nights to meet up with cousins. We stayed in the Allstars room which was excellent. My only criticism would be there were only Velux windows so we could not enjoy the stunning views. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower/bath was excellent and the L'Occitane shower gel and shampoo was a lovely touch. The food was...

We stayed in the Glynwe room at the rear of the building very quiet until builders arrived, but it wasn't until 8 .30 so not to bad. Very nice foom with hip bath hence the AA quirky rating. Lovely en- suite with large shower , dual basin & wc , very hot almost overpowering towel rail. Tea & cafetiere for...

The title is what is advertised on the building. While we know the pub as a restaurant this was our first stay. We have booked for another! Much thought has been given to providing the best of everything including wifi, parking. Comfortable accommodation, great meals and friendly service.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The interior of this award winning 18th century coaching inn successfully combines traditional and modern; a truly eclectic mix. The warm and welcoming bar has flag stone floors, low beams, open fires and candlelit tables. The well stocked bar ensures you can enjoy a host of traditional real ales including The Bell’s own Alscot Ale, guest beers and carefully selected wines, spirits and cocktails. Fresh morning coffee, brunch and afternoon tea are all favourites in this cosy area. The restaurant is more contemporary and oozes charm; it is attractive and vibrant with a buzzing atmosphere. The well designed individual areas lend themselves well to private dining, meetings and parties. Food is served in the bar, restaurant and spacious outdoor areas and the menu and daily specials change to accommodate the abundant seasonal and local produce. The spacious country pub garden with adjoining riverside meadow is ideal for families whilst the beautifully landscaped courtyard garden is a perfectly sophisticated area.
