After the Rwenzori hike, relaxing in this place was a great pleasure, surrounded by huge trees, monkeys, swimming in the crater lake, eating good food. Some hints: beware of the leeches while swimming, in particular try to keep moving if possible. And remember to book dinner food in advance. One of the best placea to stay in Uganda for sure!

I stayed at Lake Nkuruba for 3 nights in the single occupancy banda. The accomodation is basic but the bed is comfortable and the campsite beautiful! There are lots of monkeys running around at all times which are enchanting to watch and the view of the lake is lovely!. The view of the lake as I stepped out the banda... More

A quaint and relaxing location. They offered various motorcycle or bike tours to the local crater lakes. Decent food and cheap beer. Very basic accomodations but cheap. Alot of monkeys. Not Always a good thing but a nice addition. They had no way of charging Electronics. Worth spending a fiew nights there.

My boyfriend had stayed here twice over 10 years ago and was pleased to find it hadn't changed much! We stayed in the cottage by the lake. The cottage was very basic but right on the lake. The frogs in the evening were soooo loud it was amazing and the amount of monkeys to watch was pretty incredible too. There... More

We spent 2 nights/3 days here and it was amazing. Good and Moses are the coolest, friendliest guys and together with the rest of the staff we had such a good time. Beautiful setting, homely food and friendly people!

Basic & clean bandas or campsites, no running water but plenty of water is provided. Clean western toilets and a good restaurant. Helpful and lovely staff. Good monkey&birdwatching all day long, great view of the lake. There a a few nice walks that start here: to the top of the world (a not yet finished fancy hotel on a hilltop... More

Basic bandas with no electricity, but who cares when you can watch red Colombo's, black and white Colombo's and vervet monkeys up close. Both Colombo's had babies. The location is beautiful, both the lake itself and the views. Excellent food from friendly staff (they even gave a chapati coming lesson). A highlight of our Ugandan trip.

We were delighted with the rustic huts which were clean and tidy with toilets nearby. The restaurant area was clean and tidy and food great. Our best joy was to watch the Black & White plus Red Columbus and Vervet frolic and play (including babies). Although not tame they are used to humans being around so come very close and... More

My friend and I have spent 5 days there. It was one of 6 different places we stayed at, while we were travelling across south-western Uganda and it was definitely the worse one. The location is really great, but this is the only positive thing I can say about it. During the 5 days/nights we stayed there they never cleaned... More

Surrounded by trees, overlooking the lake, it's a lovely place just to relax and watch the monkeys and birds. We were there a short while, but had great views of Black & White Colobus, Red Colobus, Vervet Monkeys, a bushbaby and many birds. We arrived very late, and didn't realise we had to order supper before 3pm, but they produced... More
