We loved this place. The innkeepers were so accommodating, and made us feel welcomed. We stayed for a night on the way from Mont. St. Michelle back to Paris. We are so happy we found this gem, and we will return.

We have been to Maison Conti several times. Confession, the owner/operator/resident artist is my sister, Nancy. The village has pretty much NO attractions, but that is what is so wonderful about it. There are lots of wonderful trips from Montmirail, and if you want a quiet retreat from the hustle-bustle, I definitely endorse with beautiful inn.

To be honest, Maison Conti is run by my sister, Nancy and her husband, Rick, so if you want to discount what I'm telling you, feel free to do that. In my book, Maison Conti is fabulous. It IS in the "countryside," so walks and real relaxation is what's on offer. A lovely continental style breakfast comes with the room,...

A lovely old house and great hosts. We stayed for 3 nights in August, on our way back up to Caen for our ferry. We enjoyed breakfasts in the lovely courtyard, and drinks in the evening. We were warmly welcomed and appreciated Rick and Nancy's offer to serve us an evening meal on our first night as they now only...

We stopped here on our last night in France, before heading for Caen and our journey home. Nancy and Rick are exceptional hosts. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was perfect with views of the local chateau from the windows, and a wonderful bathroom complete with a deep bath. With language not...

It is a hope in which the owner decided to rent the rooms and call it a hotel. You will get a sense of how an house was back in 1950s by staying in this House, but the renowated look of the bathrooms will bring you back to 2016. If you have something to do in this area and look...

Rick and Nancy are great hosts! I stayed there for two weeks for training. They rolled out the red carpet every breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, French pressed coffee and with recently made bakery items. The dinners were home cooked meals shared with pleasant guests and family style. The rooms are amazing and each one has its own character...

Rick greeted us on arrival with offers of help and some welcome refreshment. We were in the yellow room - spacious, cool, well furnished and with an excellent walk-in shower. Drinks and breakfast next day watching the birds and bees drinking from the little fountain in the little courtyard was a delightful experience. Dinner in the charming "china" room, served...

Rick and Nancy have made a lovely job of restoring this beautiful building to its former glory. They are a warm and welcoming American couple now firmly settled in their historical home and offering a great Chambres d'Hotes service. The moment we arrived Rick came straight out to meet us and offered help with our luggage. The rooms are large and...

You could not imagine a more perfect lodging from which to explore the north-Central countryside of rural France than the Maison Conti, a four bedroom converted 16th century home in the tiny village of Montmirail, impossibly located in the shadow of a classic chateau built for a sister of the Sun King himself. The inn-keepers, Nancy and Rick, are transplanted...
