You just can't beat the views from these rooms. And it is super close to the pier for island outings. But the nearby restaurants weren't quite yet back from Covid - a bit rough and kinda expensive. While I was bummed that we couldn't book the suite with 4 people (still do not know why, as the next hotel fit us all into the same size room), I did really enjoy the family room - not yet renovated, but perfectly fine - just don't expect a nice bathroom. But the A/C worked very well, and a fan was in each bedroom. The check in guy was gruff, didn't appear to want to be very helpful. Breakfast was just ok.

The location was great, although expect some steep walks when going out to shops, the views however make up for it. The mosques are relatively further away so the call for prayers is muted, you might sleep through it. The vibe is of a boutique hotel with common pool area. Breakfast is served to your room. Overall an enjoyable stay. On the negative the room we stayed in could do with a bit more attention to cleaning, floors needed a mop and some couches had stains that surely could be washed. It's just visible if you pay attention to such details. With such small changes it would gain a lot.

Really impressed with this hotel. Pros -clean comfortable room -amazing view. I was content just sipping coffee or a beer on the patio (sunsets). Pay a little extra for the view. -breakfast was good and brought to the room each morning -nice pool and lounge area -location away from Main Street, so assuming quieter -staff was helpful Cons - none really -incline to get to hotel and Main Street. We didn’t mind it though. Could’ve taken a cheap taxi or ordered food if we didn’t want to walk. Might be difficult for people with walking problems.

Checkin took 3 hours and 50 minutes. The swimmingpool was empty, and we were forced to move room midways due to staff error. The only showers available everybody can look into, from the others rooms balcony’s. And see you on the toilet, no curtains.

I booked this this hotel as a home base for my 1 week Labuan Bajo trip. I left my luggage at their room while I did boat tour and trip to Le Pirate Island. I was interested with this hotel because of its reasonable price, especially their double room with sea view. The hotel is like 5 -10 minutes away from the airport, they arranged airport pick up and drop off. Located at a very steep hillside, with direct view to the bay. As per mentioned before, this hotel has steep ramps and stairs due to its location. When I arrived, room wasn't ready so they asked me to wait at its restaurant by the pool. At first they give me room number 2. The room located in front of public way, with a little steep stairs to access it. When I open the room door, it was terrace. And then there's a glass door to access its room. Room size is adequate, it has AC and fan. When I arrived, the AC didn't work well, they called a technician and around 30 mins later the problem is gone. Bed is quite comfortable, but the pillows are not too comfy. Bathroom size is also adequate, with hand shower. The toilet has handheld jet washer. In the evening, one of the staff asked a permission to move my room to room number 4 at the next day. I couldn't catch the reason, but I agreed. She just asked me to put all my stuff in the luggage, so they can move them easily. Apparently room number 4 is an access hell. It's located at the higher part of the hill, and the access is a very high and steep stairs. But the room itself is a sanctuary. Though this room is the same class with room number 2, but the room is slight bigger. It also has bigger terrace. But since this room is locate in a more remote position, it's harder to contact the staffs in case I needed something, as a sample, the housekeeping team forgot to put shampoo and soap at my bathroom. And the sewer has a certain smell, which pretty annoying. Breakfast has unique system, they don't serves it at the restaurant, but they deliver it to rooms. We should write down breakfast choices at a white board in the receptions. They only have limited menu, which are pancake/toast with jam, fried rice or fried noodles. All foods came with choices of egg and fruit platter. Tea and coffee available in the room. The food was just ok, I only had fried rice during my stay there. Lastly, let's talk about the swimming pool. It's an infinity pool located above their lobby. The pool is not too big, but it's enough to do some laps. The depth is 1.5m, so better be careful if you have small kids around. In overall, I like this hotel. It's a good hotel to unwind after a tiring boat trip. There are some space to improve, but I understand the tourism just recover from the pandemic. Hope the management will continue to up their maintenance, so the hotel can compete with other big hotels in Labuan Bajo.

Suite number 09 for 2 nights. Good for the view. Good for the pool area. Good for the comfy big bed and spacious suite. Not good breafast even if they bring it in your room: coffee or tea is not served, you have to make it from your room. Fruits (banana, papaya, watermelon) are included but juices made from the same fruits are optional. That day butter was finished, they gave margarine very bad smelly instead. Room is very brite with white curtains that need good cleaning though as well as for bed linen pretty old. Bring your eye patch for the night and ear plugs for the noise from busy road. I also tried to explain there was a continuous cracking noise in the ceiling made of bamboo that can disturb when trying to sleep, maybe insects or lizards: ear plugs will help too. We did not use the terrasse because of the garbage smell from below and also septic tank not far from it that is why we were having breakfast not in the room, as it is supposed to be, but in the pool area. Now you know, be prepared. Manager: please learn without "sorry, sorry".

Incredible Panoramic View. Large Rooms. Fantastic Breakfast. Lovely Super-Friendly Helpful Staff. Easy walk to town, restaurants and all LBJ dive centres. Plus consistent wifi is a rare treat in LBJ. This is the best place to stay in LBJ town if you want to avoid huge overpriced hotels and have a homey feeling in really nice accommodations for a reasonable price. Having stayed in six other budget accommodations around town, I suggest you not waste time or money staying elsewhere. Book BGH now. You will love the experience.

The view from our room was stunning. We can see the bay and enjoying sunset from our room-terrace. The room is spacious and clean, only the bathroom is not our favorite… Breakfast was sent to the room, just a normal breakfast.. the swimming pool was also nice… It was quiet as we stayed during the pandemic period, but really was a nice experience staying in that particular room
