If you are looking for a place to spend a few nights on either end of your boat trips into Komodo National Park the Eco Tree Otel is a great option. Their rooms are comfortable and clean, the air-conditioning is good enough to cool the rooms down and the bathrooms are good and clean as well. The restaurant has a great view over the bay and is a good place to relax in the evening. Be aware that there is often live music in the restaurant so it's better to have a room on a lower floor if you want to go to bed early.

The rooms are good and clean usually BUT this year, we didn’t get all our towels returned or replaced and they forgot the soap so we had to go and ask. Also, like last year we were first shown to a problem room. This year it was the room we had last year, but it stank of sewer. So we complained again and were moved to a room further away. I noticed that they had originally put us down for this room and crossed it out to give us a smaller room that stank. Really not the way to treat returning guests. Getting an early breakfast (we go diving and leave early) is also a problem. Last year service was better and the owner was here. We have not seen him this year... that said, some staff remembered us and they were friendly and usually very helpful. We were able to get towels for diving which we swapped each day for dry ones.

This is a 3 star hotel so in all fairness I shouldn’t give it more than 3 stars but I will as we were looked after very well. Before arriving I read some other negative reviews which just don’t make sense. This is a beautiful little hotel right on the front of the harbour with great views and epic sunsets. The restaurant and bar were great with lots of options. Everyone was so smiley it just made us feel welcome. The important point is you’re in remote Indonesia not New York. Yes you will see a few mosquitos etc but it comes with the territory. Thanks guys, great job!

Before I came with my partner to eco tree I messaged TWICE to the reception per email that it is my partners birthday on that day we are checking in. But never got a reply. For my request to have a little surprise in the room or even just a free beer nothing came back and on the check in also nothing.
The room was way too small, the view was right to the street. It was noisy. The bathroom was small and not comfortable, the toilet lid was broken. There was no room for two persons...
When we went up to their restaurant to have a birthday beer we had to pay for that what cost us 72 000 IDR for a big bintang what is way too much!!!! And all the other prices for food are also too expensive.
When we went back down the receptionist asked us if we got our "welcome drink" , but at this point we were already pissed to get another drink. So if there are birthday or welcome drinks then they should communicate and organize that better with the restaurant.
I wouldn't book it again, not even for a night. Looks and sounds better then it is!

not the best hotel in bajo, but acceptable . rather lacking, due to the ac issues during my stay but the reception is friendly. The bathroom needs to be cleaned regularly as it smells a bit and that is an issue. will i go back? yes but i would try to find a better one next time.

We stayed at Bajo for 10 days and this is our 4th hotel. Booked for 2 nights and we asked for best sea view (No. 17) from tiket.com. We got it but the air conditioner was broken and the wastafel was also leaking. They gave us another room to sleep and complimentary breakfast. BUT, the exchange room was moldy (No. 13, I even tried to open all the windows and door with dry AC mode on because the smell was like urgh. We tried to ask to move to the front room, but they prefer the other guest took it. Like WTF?! Oh, okay.
Overall the staff was all the reason I could put 3 stars in this place. They were all friendly.
And the rooftop / cafe areas. You'll absolutely love it.

It was a short stay and an alright place to stay. Unfortunately for me, there were no more nights I could stay as it was a high demand hotel. I wanted to book extra nights but everything was booked so I had to change hotels.
Though, it was a nice and decent place to stay! The bed wasn't very comfortable, but manageable for one night. The room itself was spacious and nicely put together. It felt comfortable over all and I did enjoy my one nice stay. The location is great as it's in the central part of the town and easy to get to places by walking.

We just stayed overnight at Eco Tree Otel. The rooms were fine, the staff in the restaurant was nice and also the front desk. We had a nice shower and a reasonable sleep. However, upon checkout we were hussled for 150k to pay for stained sheets that the cleaning staff claimed we had done. We did not. Beware this scam.

Lovely old building, a few stairs to get up to get to the rooms, but seemed like it was a bit flimsy - doors not solid. Room small, not much space but comfy. Offered a welcome drink and they had an OK restaurant (with killer views) further upstairs. OK food, ok drinks. Close to everything. Got massage in the neighborhood because their massage therapists went home early. Not much of a view, really, small window. The photo makes the room look nicer and larger than it was. All in all, ok.

Hi Brenda, of course ;) there's an ATM right in front of EcoTree, just cross the street and you'll see it (BNI) located next to Denny's mart shop and there's another one (Mandari) on the same walkside, a few meters away, just next to the post office (Kontor pos) and even a third one inside BRI Bank also meters way after Post office,
keep in mind that on Flores, power outage can happen (it happened to me on october 2018) so, don't wait the last minute, I would recommend
to always withdraw money for 2 days, just in case ;)
btw, in case you're looking for a local guide to show you the nice places around LBJ, feel free to let me know, (one of my friend lives there and know his island by heart)

I don't know, sorry, but i remember reading a complaint about a similar issue, in tripadvisor or booking. I would call them. The place is always fully booked, they might have overbooked.
I am not sure. But if you go to the airport official taxi desk they will charge 60.000 as to almost hotels. You might negotiate little bit better price outside, but not a big deal and this saves you the hassle.
