The vibe here is friendly and relaxed. The place is clean. Breakfast is included and nice. Flores is hot and dry so having a pool and an aircon makes it worth it and this place has both. I enjoyed a few sunsets here as you can see. Only improvement i would recommend is the pool bar music - it’s loud and really eclectic in a bad way. Top place would recommend.

I spent a total of four nights, and had a good stay overall. There was a locker provided in the room, and there was more than ample space to move about in our female-only dorm, which was good for five. My only complaint was my mattress, which had caved in the centre, and wasn't very comfortable to sleep in. I also notified the receptionist, and while he was apologetic, there wasn't much he could do about it. Sheets smelt fresh, and beds were made daily. The hostel was also walkable to town, and was one of the few which had a pool – perfect for very hot days. The breakfast was simple but filling, and it was great to not worry about food especially as a diver, I had to wake up early.

Made a quick stop here with three friends for the evening. We enjoyed a nice cocktail and a swim. There is a beautiful view through the trees and over the harbour to gaze upon as the sun goes down. Friendly staff, nice views, good tunes.

I loved this hostel, such a warm welcome as soon as I arrived! The beds are really comfortable, the dorms spacious, big lockers and everything is really clean! The breakfast is a good deal and the swimming pool and the bar are so nice as it is so hot in Labuan Bajo! You can admire the sunset while sipping a bintang in the pool, so nice :) thank you the palm staff, that was so great I told 4 other fellow travelers to stay with you :) and I could even leave my bag for one week, during my liveaboard, without even making a booking when I came back, quite nice!

Labuan Bajo became popular lately, small harbor town as main gate to the beauty of Komodo Dragon and pristine underwater views. Many hotels and hostels build in Labuan bajo with competitive price. For budget traveler, Hostel is the best option consider that most day activity will be spend outside the accommodation. Only for sleep and rest at the night.
The Palm is my perfect choice for my short stay prior taking LOB trip. Clean room with private locker, you can choose to share in a room with 4 bed or 8 bed. The best think is that the palm owned real huge and deep swimming pool. Not only to dip, but you can actual swimming. Or maybe scuba dive training in about 3 meters depth. I choose room that accommodate 4 persons, 2 bunk bed. But I think its not too spacious, so maybe you can consider to choose room for 8 persons. The toilette and shower is cleaning regularly that you can see hostel staff always around and ready to tidy up everything . Too bad that 3 toilette in out of service due to construction maintenance. At that time, the hostel is not fully occupied, so not too crowded when showering time. Basic breakfast also already include the rate and its pretty good with choices of egg style, choices of fruits, bread and jam and also coffee or tea. More than enough to start your day before exploring the islands around.
Not try the restaurant, only ordering for fresh juice when swimming, written price on the menu is not include 10% tax, which is lilbit annoying for me, better if they directly write price with tax addition on the menu.
But thanks a lot to pantry/kitchen crew, got accident that my gopro leaked and flood with water. Borrowing rice box on the kitchen to store my gopro and dry in with the warm of rice. And it back to normal now.

The pool is really nice and the bar is okay. Hostel is kept clean and tidy very diligently. Beds are relatively comfortable and it's handy to have reading lights and power points at each bed. I think since Labuan Bajo is still developing it's a good bet for staying here.

They charge what they charge because of their pool area, and probably because of limited options elsewhere, however it is a public pool as well. This would be fine..it would probably be a lot more expensive if it were completely private, but it says on the sign a number of rules that they don't actually enforce. Namely that there's a 100k spend expected, opening times, and children must be 14+..a few times there have been v young and noisy children from outside the hostel, at all hours including 7am and you can hear this from the dorms. Also I don't think the charge is enforced which makes you feel a little annoyed as a guest who is probably paying slightly higher because of the pool.

Also , the staff really need to be more considerate at times. We had a member of staff come into our almost full and sleeping dorm before 7am and wrestle around moving her friend/longtime guest into the dorm. She was banging lockers, moving his bags, and talking to him for 15 minutes, enough time to wake most in the dorm up. Check-in time is 2pm, and he didn't even want to sleep just move his bag in. Overall it was pretty unnecessary and inconsiderate. When we spoke to them about it and suggested that they wait until guests are at least awake next time, they didn't really seem to get it.

Few other things: hostel meals and drinks are same cost as outside, so no benefit in staying to eat and drink as they're really priced for visitors from outside. Breakfast is meagre. Toast, no butter or margarine, some jam and a choice of one egg. It's certainly not a buffet.
Also, don't expect help with booking things to do, they misunderstand you and aren't able to help or provide impartial advice. That's a real shame too as there are so many boats + dives from LB you sometimes want a helping hand!

It's an okay place to stay, but not a 5star review or 9.4/10 on Booking.

The good:
The decor of the place is super from large colorful beanbags around the pool to the large Hollywood style PALM lettering you see on arrival, also the cute little saying written everywhere - it’s great. The staff who can speak English and lovely and friendly and will chat to you for hours, the staff that don’t teally speak English are shy and reserved and keep their heads down to do their work. The owners walk around from time to time and nod to greet you but don’t really enter into conversation, shame really.
The rooms are adequate with each bed equipped with its own light and socket and the lockers are a fair size.
Fairly good location, just a 10min walk from the main drag.

The not so good:
The dorms are ok in terms of comfort but the sliding door in the female only dorm is quite noisy and there are no privacy curtains so the light from other beds can be distracting.

Breakfast is sub-par. You get one slice of toast and 1 egg then you can top up with more toast and jam if it’s not enough, oh and there is some melon but other than that it’s quite bland and boring compared with other hostels.

The party vibe isn’t quite there either although that can be largely dependent upon the people there at the time but the music is pretty samey.
They only have a license for beer so you’ll have to go out if you want cocktails.

I stayed here for one night after a liveaboard. The staff was very helpful, even offering to drive me to a spa I wanted to go.
Rooms have air conditioning, and big lockers.internet is surprisingly good for Labuan Bajo.
The highlight is however the infinity pool. the pool bar, restaurant and nice music invite you to relax on the bean bags all day with a beer or smoothie.

Beds are comfortable, lockers in the room, high quality a/c, great pool with nice chill zone and bar, very clean, shower is also perfect, and great breakfast is also included! And best thing is the most helpful staff!
I really think its the best hostel I've been to. Only thing to improve is the restaurant which in my opinion is too expencive and not many options in the menu. Thank you!!!
