My husband and I are now on the plane bound for Hong Kong and must admit that I am missing your incredible staff already!
There are so many names to remember and I am afraid that I may forget others. Big thanks to Grace, Tino, Yulia, Rido (who remembered the delicious fish and meats we ordered from two days ago), and others from KISIK; Edit, Michael, Iren, Saphri, Chandra, Olin, and company from RINCA.
The meals we had were all incredibly DELICIOUS! Kudos to your chefs and kitchen staff! We travel in nearly 40 countries and the meals we had were really something that you must be proud of! We will miss the grilled to perfection snapper and beef skewers! And my husband and I were so impressed that the breakfast buffet items varied DAILY during our four night stay at your resort!
The Housekeeping Staff were very competent! We were in Room 918 and we received sweet notes from the morning and night turndown attendants! Our rooms were cleaned and refreshed daily and they left cute towels shaped animals! Some of the names we remember were Pardin, Rilo, Rival, Hans, Feli or Fevi, and Toni.
The pool attendants were very attentive! Big mention to Obi who looked after us and Ari who volunteered to take our pictures and video when he noticed that we needed assistance! Ari’s proactive service was just one example of your service focused staff members who were always ready to help!
Erik, Upik, and the boat captain also gave us a fantastic time on the island hopping tour of Padar, Pink Beach, and Komodo Island! We felt well taken care of! I needed alcohol and we were amazed that Erik remembered as soon as we landed in Padar Island! Erik also took the best pictures for us!
And we also want to thank you for the incredibly gifted musician who played the sasando during the Christmas holiday! Listening to him play for 2-3 days was a real highlight!
Thanks again for giving us a memorable trip! I will miss a response that we heard from Grace, Tino, Irene, Obi, Rilo, Pardin, Olin, and your AMAZING staff everytime we said thank you which was “It’s our pleasure!” Happy New Year to all!

We stay at this hotel for three nights, and had to say this hotel really has beautiful views from inside and out. Every spaces at this hotel have been carefully designed to please every guests from the lobby, jetty, pool, and other places.
Services from staffs are also the best, they love kids and always ask what my kids wanted and greet us whenever they meet us. I love anyone who love kids! Special mention to Pak Rahmat and Mas July, they really give their best to all guests, and also our room attendant, Fanti, that always look after our hydration by giving extra bottle when we ran out the previous day. All staffs also running covid-19 protocols consistently, but regular cleaning/sanitizing at common used properties like tables, sun loungers, and etc should be more often.
At the first two days, our breakfast were made by order, not much of a choice but taste good. At the last day of our stay, there was buffet with more choice, a wider variety but not really that much, Ayana should improve their breakfast menu in terms of variety to cater more guests taste. For dinner, we try to dine at both Rinca and Hon Zen, taste were good, the pricess still quiet reasonable.
For activities, we do swimming and sunset kayaking. Staff was really helpful by taking us picture using paddle board. Kids club is well built, but the toys should be well maintained, my kid looks for Lego but the staff tells us it was missing. I need to mention that being a hotel with location far from city center and no to-do-things around, hotel should have scheduled activities (paid or included) like kids activities (which I found nothing at the kids club during my stay), local culture lesson, crafting, cooking class, yoga, archery or much else to keep guest occupied.
Overall it is really great stay for me and my family, will come back for sure after this pandemic ends.

We were lucky to travel in Feb/low season so we got an upgrade to a deluxe room, and the standard is very high, clean, modern, great amenities, nice bathroom etc. balcony overlooking the bay and islands in front, just stunning! It was pretty quiet, so I think this was lucky as it was super relaxing during this time. Its quite remote from main town (15mins car or scooter) so it was quiet for us, not much to do except chill and relax. Perfect for us.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming, smiley and used our first names when they saw us by the pool or walking through the resort.. very sweet.
One note: the prices for food and drink are as to be expected at this type of resort, so they are not cheap, but just plan or be prepared for that :)
We were so sad to say goodbye and wanted to extend our stay! Thanks to Pak Manik and the whole team for making our stay amazing!

It is pricey. I wish I could say it is worthy. We stay for three days/two nights with a full-day tour to see Komodo dragons as well as other activities.
The review is awesome. Most of the facilities are great.
The fee for pick up is way too high, the fee for Taxi from this resort to Komodo airport is Rup 100,000, but the fee for the resort to pick up is at least one person US$15, which is quite unreasonable. So, for people going to the resort, you can consider taking a taxi.
For the room, the soundproof was a big disappointment. As long as I stayed in the room, I can constantly hear the sound of walking and moving chairs. It is difficult to understand how can a 5 stars resort can have such bad soundproof. Can you image that? Deciding to pay for a resort to enjoy the vocation is actually to relax and to at least to have a good night sleep. However, as you stay in the room you have to tolerate the “don don don” and the sound of moving chairs. And it happened after 11:00 pm and before 6:00 am. Nothing change after I raised this issue twice to the staff. It is such a downside that I am not able to ignore it.
The full-day trip to see Komodo dragons were great and the boat and staff were both nice. The lunch was better than we expected. However, we only saw 5 or 6 Komodo dragons and all in one place. It is quite the opposite of what we expected. It is possible that we could have seen more Komodo dragons if we went to different islands.

We arrived 4 hours before check in time and the staff had a room ready for us which was great. The standard ocean view rooms although 43 sqm, seemed much smaller due to the long and narrow design, so the bedroom area itself was tiny and cramped. I looked online to see what other rooms were available and paid for an upgrade to the Ocean suite. This room was fabulous. I noticed when i was checking for rooms to upgrade, that there was an offer of a 25% discount on food, selected beverages and spa treatments. However, we didn't receive this discount. When i questioned the reception staff they told me it was because when we made the original booking that offer was not avaIlable. We had just spent a substantial amount of money upgrading our room on arrival (when the offer was active) and it seems incredibly mean spirited not to offer the discount during our stay, especially during a pandemic. It's a shame because there was so many positives, all the staff were amazing, friendly and professional, the food was very good with the highlight being the seafood at kisik restaurant and a lovely breakfast each morning. We also enjoyed the Japanese restaurant. The pool areas was great and the rooftop bar stunning for a sunset view and drink. The trip to the private island was gorgeous but the additional charge for snorkels, kayaks and Stand up paddle boards I thought was outrageous, (300k/30min) for in house guests. I have never encountered that in any other hotel. Anywhere. I would have given this a higher rating but the lack of discount (despite upgrading rooms) left a very bad taste and I think it's simply bad management. It certainly made me suspect this will be my first and last trip to any Ayana Hotel.

My husband and I spent a whole week at the Ayana in Komodo during our honeymoon, it was the best decision ever! The place is amazing: a five star hotel located some miles away from Labuan Bajo, in a quiet and almost virgin peninsula, first row to the sea with the most amazing views! Everything is really high standard and impressive: wide and well thought spaces that make the most of the location, delicious and varied breakfast buffet, romantic nights at the private jetty, excursions to the hotel’s private beach..., but the bests in our opinion: first, the team that makes all this paradise possible, they are fantastic! There are few other hotels with such a customized service: we were delighted everyday with a special newly wed’s surprise, and were always called by our names with a warm smile! And second, the seafood grill restaurant in the romantic tables at the shore... best place to spend your honeymoon‘s evenings watching the beautiful and colorful sunsets! The food is delicious: fish, crab, lobsters that you choose at the moment are grilled in front of you while you enjoy the views of the península... simply amazing! We totally recommend this hotel and will be pleased and looking forward to visit it again!

We are really enjoy escape from Jakarta and forget about pandemic. We stay at Ayana Komodo Resort for 5 days. It's a luxury hotel with good services, polite and courtesy employees. This is my first visit to Labuan Bajo, and staying at Ayana Komodo was the best decision for a solo traveler/first timer like myself. A 3-night "me-time getaway" from hectic routines was so relaxing and worth traveling.
Everything has been great, from reservation to airport pick up, from check in to food & coffee quality. The whole experience is fantastic. But one thing I have to highlight is the hotel staff and services, they are of fantastic assets to this hotel. Some staff remembered my name by the 2nd day and are happy to take my "irritating request" for my coffee, ie. Xtra hot but not too hot :).
Room is great with an amazing view, stayed at Deluxe full ocean view on the 10th fl. A short trip to a little private beach was also a nice activity offered by the hotel ( free of charge, with a reasonable fee for snorkeling gear rent if you need ones) - water condition permits.
Am leaving tomorrow, wish I could stay longer. Definitely will come back.

Such an amazing resort, with the most relaxing and breathtaking views. It is the only 5 star hotel on the Flores Island with a great view of Waecicu Beach. The staff did an impeccable job, very attentive and although we stayed there for only 3 nights, they immediately learnt our names and preferences. The restaurants on the premises (Rinca, Rooftop bar, Pool Bar, Kisik Seafood restaurant) were excellent, with delicious meals and great service. The suite, clean and spacious, had a beautiful view of the pool and exotic islands around. We also got to spend the night between the years here and the whole organization and NYE dinner service was amazing. Also, one can do various water activities or take day trips to the nearby Komodo Dragon or Padar Islands. Definitely a very pleasant stay, a "window to paradise"!

Amazing!!! Overall from check in to check out a great eperience. All staff super friendly and always giving small personal touches from the Bar Team to Housekeeping that make your stay even better. Rooms are spacious and totally recommend to pay a bit more for the upgrade to full ocean view - you won't regret it, the view is spectacular and waking up to it is the perfect start in the day. All tours can be easily organized through the hotel or private and ask for the quick walk to sunrise point, it's beautiful. Will definitely stay here again if i come back to Labuan Bajo. It’s not really cheap, but for the money you really get a super service and a delicious food. Sometimes they have specials. I payed for 10 days around 2.000,-€. But I was given what I wanted and the food was delicious!
Really can recommend it!!!!
I suggest your room with breakfast. I am afraid no other option outside the hotel. They offer variety of menus and taste so good. I stayed there for 5 days and always enjoyed my breakfast time overlooking to pool and ocean. Worh of it.
