The hotel is running on generator, there is power trip consistently throughout so we have to wake up to turn the aircon back on few times every hour. The floor trap is stucked. The aircon is really weak not much cold air or breeze. Only good thing its the location and the seaview

Our original accommodation in Labuan Bajo was no good and so we got recommended Matahari Hotel when our second choice wasn't available. The receptionist was very patient and let us look in the rooms before we booked. They were also flexible with check in times to suit our plans. We stayed in a 'Superior' room that was very modern, clean... More

We stayed at this hotel because all the others hotels/hostels/bungalows were fully booked. We stayed here for 2 nights after a recommendation from next doors divingschool, Blue Marlin Divers. The most reviews here are bad, honesty I can't believe them. I guess they made some upgrades or got a new hotel manager or something. They had a completely new building... More

Not a great place, mosquito nets full of holes, toilets cracked and chipped, bathrooms dirty and with holes in the walls. But I didn't die and it's in a convenient location. There's not a lot of choice if you want budget rooms and privacy!

This is what we found out during our stay: Room: bed had maybe clean sheets, no mosquito net, no fan, weak aircon, one shelf to put your belongings, shower with no hot water but with hairs and what else of previous guests, moldy, western toilet that was too dirty to sit on and couldn't be flushed, harbor view, next to... Coming from airport we picket a place at random and took taxi here. Checked in to a very ordinary room, the only one with windows that opened for a breeze and also a view over the harbour. No aircon. No fan. Bathroom was dirty with rubbish not removed. Families living on premises with lots of young children. We left and... More

We spent just the first night there, the next day we found another place… The other place was 3 times cleaner and 3 times cheaper… I leave to your imagination the details about the bathroom... Terrible

Stayed here for one night in Labuan Bajo after ten hour bus journey, the price is not the best for a solo traveller but I had no complaints about my stay. Room had reasonably good mosquito net and a decent view out to sea. Good location on the main road of Labuan Bajo and the staff were very friendly and... More

the room was so humble but the location is pretty strategic. We may meet another traveler and share some stories with them in front of our room. the room was pretty much comfortable too. You may enjoy the beautiful scenery from the restaurant or another cafe just a few steps from your hotel.
