We have been 4 days, the snorkeling has been fantastic, the guide that has been with us is excellent, always showing us things that we would not have seen in any way. The room has been very comfortable and all the staff have made our stay very pleasant If I had to say anything less positive, it would be with the food, for me it would have been better to have more Indonesian food and less Italian.

Beautiful bungalows right on the water’s edge. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fantastic house reef for great snorkelling. Friendly staff, both in the restaurant and accompanying the dives. I had one of my best massages, so went back for a second. Excellent food: Indonesian for lunch and Italian in the evening

The Komodo Sea Dragon 5-day-4-night live-aboard would be one of the most memorable and missed trip I have ever had in my life time. Room was spacious, bed was hotel-grade comfortable, food and drinks are amazing, and most importantly crews are extremely helpful and friendly, which made the trip more than perfect. There was 2-3 day-dives and 1 night dive everyday, with some land excursions (Padar Island hike, Komodo dragon excursion). It was well arranged that it wouldn't be too packed or tiring. Pre-dive briefing is very detailed and clear (accompanied with great drawings), and the dive masters are very knowledgable about all the dive sites. I was a solo traveler who had only around 30 logged dives (the least among all the divers), and the dive-master, Jello, just made me feel comfortable about diving all sorts of different water condition (calm waters, deep dives, drift dives, and even my first-time use of reef hooks). He was energetic, passionate about diving, and fun to be with, and had made my first-time live-aboard trip more than perfect.

Amazing resort in paradise! The surrounding house reef is incredible - some of the best snorkeling we have ever done in our lives. Beautiful bungalows, clean and delicious meals with a variety of food to choose from. All the excursions were well organized as well. Above all, I can't say enough good things about the staff at the resort. The warmth and hospitality we experienced at this resort were top-notch. I might even go as far as to say that I haven’t experienced better. Each and every staff member I encountered from the welcome team, reception, dive staff, excursion guides, boat crewmen, restaurant staff, and housekeeping, emitted a genuine warmth, friendliness, and attentiveness towards guests. If you're a scuba diver, you absolutely need to plan at least a minimum of 3 dives while staying here. The biodiversity and marine life are absolutely stunning! We loved our days at Komodo Resort so much and wish we could go back some day.

We recently spent a week diving at Komodo resort and we wish we were still there. The resort is situated on an island in the Komodo archipelago close to many dive sites. The bungalows are very comfy, all of them on the beach with direct ocean view. We also liked the restaurant and the bar on the beach with great sunset views. There is a reef right in front of the resort which is really great for snorkeling. Boats from Labuan Bajo bring their guests there for snorkeling trips which really says it all. We did a PADI Open Water course at the resort. Our instructor Jello was great. Really competent and also fun to work/dive with. We very much enjoyed the course and also the subsequent fun dives with him. On the dives we saw an abundance of turtles, sharks, (mantha) rays, barracudas, nudibranches, corals and all kinds of fish. The dive boats are very chill with a bean bag deck and coffee & cookies served between the dives. The dive guides draw a visual of the dive site on a whiteboard for the briefing ahead of every dive which is very nice. We definitely want to come back!

I just came back from a week at Komodo Resort, and already missing it! The rooms are great, spacious and comfortable and overlooking the white sandy beach and tranquil waters by Sebayur island. The house reef (snorkeling only) is really good (watch out for the in and out currents). The diving is very well organised with 2 or daily boats (2 dives in the morning and an afternoon or a night dive if one so wishes). Briefings are very detailed and precise by all staff giving them and safety is priority (given the currents in the area). The dives sites are all really good with a mix of wall, slopes, reefs and big pelagics (mantas, sharks, schools of trevallies, jacks, barracudas, too many turtles to count) and some decent macro opportunities. The corals are pretty healthy and colourful and both soft and hard. Dives sites are around 1h boat ride from the resort. The food is fantastic: plenty of fresh fruit, breakfast has a choice of indonesian and continental options; lunch is mainly indonesian (soups are so good) and buffet style while dinner is a la carte and mainly italian. I mean fresh pasta and parmigiana di melanzane better than what i get in London! The staff are so good, all of them from the garden maintenance to the dive staff to the bar guys making cocktails at sunset. Antonello made me feel at home, particylarly when my friend left and I spent a couple of days on my own, I felt I was amongst friends. The wifi is perfect and allowed to keep in touch with my family back home. They have a spa but I didn't use it myself and a small fitness room too. Some minor points of 'constructive feedback': -clarity on prices esp for excursion (eg we had a surcharge for half day Komodo trip which had not been communicated upon booking the trip) - less plastic please. Fruit comes in plastic bags and the room bins have plastic bags, changed every day. perhaps compostable bags would be better? - different charging points eg USB (or a camera room for photographers) would be great Overall couldn't recommend this place more and I would love to return one day.

Komodo Sea Dragon was an amazing experience and will be a trip I will remember for a long time. The accommodation on the boat was luxurious and made the brief time off time we had very restful. The trip was jam packed with so many dives which each being at a different dive sight. We saw so many kinds of animals on the reefs and it truly is an amazing part of the world. The staff were amazing and just made the trip that bit better. I did my advanced open water course on this which was taught by Jello. He made the trip and the course really fun with his great energy and passion for diving. The staff truly made you feel welcome and looked after. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

We had the most idyllic stay at Komodo Resort. There is a stunning house reef packed with massive coral reefs and all kinds of fish (including schools of rays that occasionally visit). The scuba diving, however, was the absolute highlight. The biodiversity around the resort and near Komodo is incredible. The location is just outside the Komodo Unesco Park - this was the winning factor as we got to enjoy proximity to world class dive sites that a liveaboard offers, but with the privacy, space and service that come with staying in a resort. The resort has an amazing team of international and local diving guides and instructors (we had Britta and Beltran most of the time, who were amazing at what they do and just genuinely great people to know). The manager Nico, as well as the owner and his wife were lovely and often around to greet us. And every member of staff was helpful and friendly. Our cottage was beautiful - we particularly loved our veranda and front yard where we could just lie down and look at the calm waters, enjoy the breeze passing through and listen to the waves, birds and cicadas. We also loved hiking up to the hill behind the resort to watch the sunset, before going to the beach bar for a pre-dinner drink under the stars. We found it really hard to leave on the last day. This is such a special resort in such a unique location. The whole team deserves credit for making our experience so memorable. We can't wait to be back!!

We are a family of 4 and we spent 5 days on their Liveboard. The boad is very big can accomodate lots of people, it have bedroom with private bathroom. I think the boat is very new or perfectly maintaned. Rooms are spacious, beds are very good, bathrooms are very clean. The food is freshly prepared every day by a chef onboard and is very good 👌 . Personal is atentive and I can say we got 5× service. Every day we done some trips on different islands ( Komodo dragon island) we saw flying bats also we done diving also. While we went diving the kids ( 8 yo ) done watersports under their staff supervision, cayaking, snorkeling swimming. We felt very safe and they took great care of us and our kids. Their staff is gold and along with a great book is the perfect receipt for succes. This is a fantastic place that you need to visit in your lifetime. We plan to return again in 2 years when all the family will be openwater certified. Kindest Regards, Alin
