The view is spectacular and the site of where its found is very nice and quiet, but there were many other things that made the overall experience to be below expectations.
For the place, I saw so much potential and great opportunities to be a great place to stay and one that would want to have its guests to come back for me. The rooms themselves were well below expectations. I was for some reason put in a room with two twin beds, not sure why, and they were too uncomfortable. The bathroom is where I had the bigger issue as it is an open air bathroom that's not so comfortable in terms of feeling in your own place. The shower is basically a hose and cannot stay on the wall. (The rooms are not as nice in the inside as you would expect.)
Outside is where the beauty lies though, it is on the beach from and nice swimming area. It is clean (saw staff cleaning and picking up litter) and nice place to lie and relax in. The food cooked in the "restaurant" is basic and simple in terms of preparation. It's manageable, just don't expect too much!
Though, it is nice to have cold drinks and sit on the deck of the restaurant and watch the sun go down. The staff is also very nice and warm!

Very basic accomodation but matches price. Comfortable beds, AC, bucket showers. Simple place as expected based on the price. Good location nice beach though on the weekend many people use the beach. Restaurant food has minimal selection.

I think this place is beautifully situated, has nice grounds, friendly staff.....all ingredients for a perfect beach resort but.... It lacks proper management!!!!
Luis the manager is a very friendly and helpful guy but is not the best organiser. Running out of water to take a shower or flush a toilet until 10 in the morning. Running out of beer, eggs for breakfast or bananas for pancakes if these are your only breakfast options and you only have to accommodate for a handful of guests is not okay for a IDR 400.000 per night type of hotel.
So please try harder and you will succeed!
Otherwise, rooms are big and clean and they will do anything to please you ( when you ask)
Their transport option of dropping and picking you from town for a small fee is great and necessary, as the place is a 15 minute drive from town.
I would still recommend this place to other guests!
I hope they( hotel staff) take my review in consideration!

Located north of Labuan Bajo, Waecicu is often said to be the best point to see the sunset. With a stretch of sloping white sand, this beach is suitable for those of you who like to walk slowly while enjoying the cradle of the waves right on the feet.

The location of this hotel is very strategic. Sadly the service is very poor. Seems that the hotel management didn't pay attention to the bad review that the customer had written about them. During our stay, every morning and every evening we had problem with water. Very unprofessional in running the hotel. Seems that there was no duty manager. So the staff had no supervision.
This hotel really need to shape up. Not a good place to stay.👎👎👎

Only had something to eat here. The chicken satay was not cooked all the way through and we found glass in our food (nasi goreng). The waiter told us that this happens sometimes.. I definitely would not go here again.

The restaurant is exceptionally bad. I ordered veggie nasi goring, but they were out of egg. They suggested mie goreng instead but said it would be less expensive since the egg wasn’t available (which is really the only thing it comes with when you order no meat). It took 45 minutes to come, was cold and tasteless, and when I paid they tried to charge full price. I reminded them of the lower price they promised and they agreed, only to “not have any change” so they made me pay full price anyway.

Just left this place today and here is the summary: whoever owns this place has no shame to call it a resort!

MASSIVE HYGIENE ISSUES in the bathrooms, in rooms and in the “restaurant”.

WATER SUPPLY is an issue for the entire Labuan Bajo, but the places that care try to do smth about it/inform the visitors. At this place you can be out of water for several days in the row ( including shower, toilet and the tub).

FOOD is obviously not delivered to this place. They have a menu, but they had no ingredients to cook with. For breakfast you can expect egg and bread with tiny portions of fruit.

WIFI, TV - doesn’t exist.

NATURE AROUND (beach, sea access, views) were nice but hard to enjoy given the above mentioned lack of basic comfort. It’s quite dirty of course.

I suspect that positive comments to this place are made up by the manager that is never around.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! And if you happen to make this mistake - you can escape to the nearby Sylvia Resort and spend your day there (entry fee 50K IDR)

Although the staff were reasonably friendly, they hardly spoke any English and this was a major problem for the whole of our stay. From telling us we didn't need to get cash as we could check out and pay with card when we went to the cash point on the last night, then to tell us when we return that they do not take card "because tax", to not telling us any information about the hotel such as when breakfast was, despite when we arrived telling us to sit down and wait for them to come and explain, as well as telling us to go swim in the sea and not warming us about the mass of sea urchins that were right by the beach, the language barrier was a major issue. I understand that whilst perfect English is not necessary, it is vital for at least a few members of staff to be able to understand their customers... This was not the case. They sold us a vastly overpriced boat trip to Komodo, 1,700,000 IDR, saying this included "everything". Again, not the case. We had to pay another fee to get on the island. Thought we would get some decent food on the boat but just got cold rice and cold fish that looked like it was left over from someone else's dinner. This is not acceptable and whilst we should have probably shopped around in Labon bajo town for a cheaper trip, we arrived fairly late the afternoon before and thought this the best idea, not realising that the hotel was asking for an extortionate price for what they were ultimately providing.
The room was awful. Basic is one this but it was absolutely filthy. Bugs on the ceiling, stained sheets when we arrived which weren't changed thought the duration of our trip, despite them coming in to 'clean'. There is a door between the bathroom and bedroom but when they came to tidy our room whilst we were on the boat trip this was left open, who knows how long for as we were out for about eight hours. This meant we had even more bugs in our room than we started out with. No door between bathroom and outdoor shower meaning bathroom also filled with bugs.
The beach was pretty but if you looked to both edges it was piled up with rubbish which really isn't what you expect from a 'beach inn'. This could easily have been cleaned but clearly the staff didn't see it as an issue.
All in all, we did not enjoy our stay at waecicu beach inn and would not recommend it, unless you really want to be 'at one' with nature to the point that the bugs are sleeping in your bed with you.

We stayed at waecicu beach hotel for 2 nights as part of a 4 week trip around Vietnam and Indonesia. Despite the good beachside location and nice pictures on booking.com our stay was a complete let down.

The staff bar the manager speak no English which led to numerous misunderstandings as all staff are unwilling and unable to communicate with their guests. The staff provided us with virtually no information - on arrival it was not explained when breakfast was served or the fact that there were sea urchins all along the beach leading to 3 guests being stung in one afternoon.

Having booked a trip to Komodo through the hotel (vastly overpriced) we were not told that entrance to the park would be 500000idr and arrived on the island without sufficient money. Simply telling us before we left would have saved the panic and need to borrow money from some very kind strangers on Komodo. Lunch on the boat was disgusting and served with 2 warm fantas. For a £90 boat trip I'd expect a bit more than cold rice and day old cold fish.

The rooms were filthy with stained sheets whilst the toilet had a particularly unpleasant brown stain down the side of the bowl. No door between bathroom and outdoor shower meant a bug infestation every morning. The room had one faulty electrical socket, no safe, no bedside table, no lamps. Wifi was advertised online yet only available in the reception area.

In short unless this hotel gets new management and staff I would avoid it at all costs and stay in Labuan bajo town.
