This was my fourth time in Labuan Bajo, and since I was traveling alone this time I chose a cheap hotel close to the port.
The room was a Superior Single Room with breakfast included, and there was a balcony where I could hang out my laundry. Dry cleaning was also cheap and finished the next day.
Breakfast was on the fourth floor with a great view, and although the selection was limited, it was delicious.

The Hotel is 10 minutes from Labuan Bajo Airport. And only 50 meters from harbor. The hotel is still growing, there are 2 building, old and new. The room in the new building was so nice typically like hotel in Bali and with big bathroom. No television here. The breakfast, do not expect to much, there are bread and jam, cereal and fruits.
But in the afternoon (after 6pm) there are fish market at harbor.
Since most of tourist come to Labuan Bajo for boat trip to komodo island and surrounding, this hotel was good for stay while waiting the schedule to sail.

The rooms are sparsely furnished with a bed, shower facilities, cupboard, 1 chair. It is best to only sleep there and spend the rest of the time elsewhere in the region with excursions, snorkeling, beach visits or island hopping.
Hygiene is just a mop through the room, making the bed and on. The dust hangs on all curtains, curtain rods, cupboards and edges/ledges.
Remember, when you push the bathroom door against the wall, put the lock on it and when you close the door again you can no longer get in... solution; grille at the top of the door, remove the pin…
Rooms on the ground floor have a large gap under the door... animals alert!
The breakfast area is opposite the rooms on the ground floor and preparations start at 5:00 am!

Perfect hotel for a night after my 3 day dive trip at a reasonable price. Clean, nicely situated with views of harbour and a few restaurants (if you go up the hill 3-4 mins). I did the 4 min hill walk to Seasta which has great restaurant, live music and a pool (as Komodo lodge has no pool - it’s only downside).
FYI there are only stairs (staff will help with bags) and breakfast is served on 4/F (very simple but sufficient eggs, bread, fruit and with a lovely view) if only stairs matters to you (it didn’t bother me). If you want more decent coffee, walk a few meters along the street towards town.
Can get an airport transfer at IDR 100k with the hotel paid cash or card (10 min drive).
Recommend ear plugs as there is both a mosque and if a Sunday, a singing church nearby. A lovely quiet aircon unit though!
Plenty of space and a drying rack to hang up wet dive and swim gear.
Staff were lovely and friendly.

Nice modern rooms here which is good, but that’s as far as it goes. If that’s enough for you, all well and good.
It’s noisy: rooms have adjoining doors and the evening entertainment from next door blares out.
WiFi on my floor did not work. After three attempts at “we will fix it”, I gave up.
Ask for room safe key at reception as the safe codes don’t work. The TV had no channels. Break fast was very basic, served with loud Christian evangelist music.
A simple request to check out late by one hour (which would have gained them a lunch order and shuttle fee) was met with a blanket “no”.
This could be SO much better with just a little thought and customer service from the front desk.

I stayed for one night at the Komodo Lodge after my live aboard boat trip. The room is affordable, basic and clean and comes with a very simple breakfast. As I was on the ground floor, I had a verandah with outdoor seating and a clothes drying rack (I believe it is the same for the upstairs units with the balconies). Nothing to complain about. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
The mosque in town might be too loud for some if one is not used to it and some guests may be a bit loud as well with their conversations as they walk by. But other than that, everything else was pretty much ok.
Location wise, Komodo Lodge (at Jalan Mutiara) is well placed as it sits in between the street with the seafood stalls that open at night (Jalan Kerapu) and the main drag with the tour companies/agents and good eats (Jalan Soekarno Hatta) so all are within walking distance.

The hotel has a modest looking entrance but the interior is very nice, the rooms are large and good functioning air-conditioning, the bathroom has a good strong shower with constant hot water. The reception staff speak good English, if you have cannot speak Bahasa Indonesia. The hotel is very very located and is close to the harbour for boat trips to Komodo National Park but is also very conveniently located to the main tourist area for shops, ATMs and restaurants. Very close by is Bajo Rental (turn out of hotel, turn left and walk a short way down the street) where you can book your boat trips to Komodo National Park. Mercy, travel agent is really helpful and has good English. There is one down side and this is not to do with Komodo lodge. As to be expected in Indonesia, the call to prayer is a feature. In 25 years of travelling all over Indonesia, we have never heard the call to prayer at such loud amplification as from the main mosque closeby. This volume is like nothing we have ever experienced in Indonesia, it is very very loud - louder than normal; and the call to pray is also accompanied by short sermons. Be prepared for this. Otherwise, Komodo Lodge is a good 3 star hotel and the location is outstanding.

The rooms are simple and clean. Located near harbor and central street so the hotel has a good location to explore Bajo (a city we really enjoyed). Staff is helpful - especially John....the kids still miss him. Breakfast is simple. There is a small area out front where we enjoyed sitting playing games in the evening.

It's a budget-friendly hotel offering the essentials: comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The location near the port is a definite plus.
For the price you pay, it's definitely a value deal. Sure, there's some noise from a nearby temple, but it didn't bother me much—I still had a great night's sleep. However, if noise keeps you up at night, you might want to consider elsewhere.
As for breakfast, it's pretty basic and lacks eggs. The buffet includes pancakes, veggies, sausages, rice, along with juice and coffee. And the taste was a bit bland.
But for budget travelers, Komodo Lodge is an excellent choice.

We stayed in this hotel for one night either side of our Liveaboard trip (so two nights). It’s cheap and extremely accessible for the port, so idea if you just want somewhere to sleep either side.
However, the basic and superior rooms are almost entirely two different hotels. We initially booked basic, as the pictures looked fine, but these rooms were terrible. Incredibly small and dark, filled with mosquitos, shower didn’t work properly and the room was incredibly loud at night and right until the early hours because of the strangest disco which seemed to only have like 4 people in attendance but still played all night.
After complaining about our room and asking to be moved to the new building for the second night of our stay (when we returned from our Liveaboard), where all the rooms were the superior ones, it was like a completely different hotel. Room was much nicer and all the issues were resolved. The price difference between the two was only small, so just don’t even consider staying unless you book the superior room.
Breakfast was fine, fairly basic and nothing to get excited about, but good enough. Music over breakfast was strangely loud though.
