We just decided to call in on passing, and delighted with the find. We chose small portion of roast pork which was ample with lots of delicious vegetables, tasty sauces and well cooked meat. We enjoyed our roasts so much we went on to have puddings too which were equally delicious. Have to admit we were a bit surprised at...

Visited this pub by chance, looking for food, returning from a break in Cornwall. The starters and mains were the best me and my partner have had for a long time. Along with the prompt, friendly service from the waitress, we can only strongly recommend this excellent pub/restaurant.

Booked up for one night as attending Thruxton Circuit the following day and this B&B located very close by so ideal. Our room was lovely and homely, the food was fresh and very tasty and the service was very friendly. We were so full from the evening meal that we could only manage toast and coffee in the morning!

Stunning location half way between Newbury and Andover . They really looked after me and its so relaxing . Food was freshly made and healthy options . Lots of families and staff were so friendly. If I had more time I would recommend this for a few extra days whilst visiting the area.

As we have lively children we are always looking for good pub gardens and This pub has it. It's very large with lots of room to run around, we even set up our own swing ball game for the children to play. The food is good with quick service and friendly service. This pub ticks all the boxes 👏🏻🍺🍸😎

I came here for lunch, friendly welcome & courteous staff. It was a Monday and the kitchen staff were having a burger competition, they'd all designed one each and would see which was the most popular. I can't remember the name of the one I chose but it was one of the best pub burgers I've had in a long...

I like to stay in Gastro pubs and this is very good. My room was large and comfortable and I slept well, however I could not get online despite connecting to the Hotel WiFi. The restaurant is above average with the chef trying hard to offer a nice menu with good quality ingredients, the presentation was really good and the...

We enjoyed a pleasant but not special lunch on father's .The menu was a little limited and while the portions were generous the roast lamb was not particularly tender . The vegetables again while generous in portions lacked flavour .The fish batter lack taste and was spongy inside . Our starters ,however were tasty especially the sharing platter . The...

An excellent traditional pub offering real ales and a straightforward choice for Sunday lunch. We all opted for the roast, both beef and lamb being on offer and between us we tried both - and both were very good. We sat in the very pleasant garden. The food was great and although the stuffing was a surprising accompaniment it too...
