This is definitely the best place to eat and stay in Baucau. You have others more affordable but this one is the best one. The rooms are good and the food at the restaurant is very good. You also have a swimming pool but it is open to the public.

It is amazing that a place like Pousada de Baucau remains in such good shape and is so well-managed in a tough environment like that of Timor-Leste. The grounds are sprawling and nicely gardened, lots of inlaid stone terraces. The rooms are adequate—they are not as grim as some write, though they are a little dated. We had ample hot...

This was a lovely spot to spend a couple nights. The steak with pepper sauce lived up to its well-earned reputation and we enjoyed our stay there. It is also very easy to walk to most places within the old part of town.

I stayed here for work but could have stayed for holidays too. Colonial style building with arcades. It's like having your own hacienda, except that it is Portugese. Nice rooms with a balcony overlooking the street and market below. This is a quiet town. Restaurant next door where you can take your breakfast in the morning sun. Staff helpful, bedding...

Definitely the best hotel if you go to Baucau. I paid the room $70 per night. Cash. The Room is average, still using the wooden floor that was very good when still newly installed, but now I think needs replacment. There is new wing of Rooms that still under construction.

Fascinating to see how the wealthy Portuguese would have spent their holidays in this lovely renovated poussada. But where are the much needed tourists in Timor? Delightful service and memorable - go there!!!

While the Pausada is often considered a main attraction of Baucau it really is not worth the hype due to its terrible service. The is a guest house next door which is better priced. If you go to Baucau I would say just go here for dinner so you can say you have been and use the free wifi which...

I lucked on merciful peace and calm here. Somehow, the renovations of very recent years had de-cobwebbed the horrible history of the Pink Pousada. Now, cool with shade and yes, aircon, the hotel has scuttled its demons to the past. No trace remains now of imprisoned patriots or of frightened villagers. True progress has taken the place up to pleasant,...

Stayed in this hotel for one night only. I have opted for the Poussada since I had a relatively positive feedback from some colleagues on the hotel as well as its cuisine. Well, I gave it a try but I have to say that I was not impressed. I stayed at a room for 70 USD. The room was rather...
