A true country pub. Ideal location for walkers/hikers and in our case just close enough for the Yarndale wool event. The staff were polite and friendly, the room was on the smaller side but serviceable. We could hear other guests when they were in the corridors but this isn't the kind of place you'd expect rowdy groups to stay, so...

We had a 1st floor double club room with en-suite for 2 nights in the annexe - good size room with all amenities. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Aspects of the hotel are a liitle on the tired side but overall great value for money,

We stayed here for 3 nights from Wednesday till Saturday morning. Our room was a lower floor one in Craven Wing, it was lovely, clean and well presented. The en-suite bathroom as of a reasonable size. the room had patio doors which lead into the rear of the hotel where there was an outside bbq area and seating area. While...

Stayed for one night in one of the outbuildings room. Nice size room with adequate storage and hangers etc. Surprised they did not provide a hairdryer but you can get one from reception which I did. The bathroom is small with an OK shower over the bath and there was handwash and a shower gel supplied but no shampoo or...

We booked this as a last-minute, due to booking another hotel for the wrong date! What a piece of luck that turned out to be. Warm, clean, comfortable room which was quiet, lots of hot water to shower in in the morning, followed by a hearty breakfast. I tried dinner the previous evening which was good and good value! Would...

I feel the need to warn the world of the horrors that lie behind what looks to be a quite nice venue. The Roast dinner was an absolute shambles! Appreciative that this meal is priced at less than £7 its understandable that not much money can be being made for offering this menu option. My advice to the owners is...

We stayed here on a Friday and then again the following Sunday on our way to and from Scotland. I would recommend the rooms in the new wing as they are more modern but that is not to say the rooms in the main part are bad. All the rooms have free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities and very comfortable...

We arrived on Thursday 20th July and stayed for 2 nights. We were offered a free upgrade on arrival which was gratefully accepted. The room was very clean and tidy and the food was excellent, as were the staff, very pleasant, and hard working, nothing was too much trouble. If we are in the area again we will definitely be...
