The charm of yesteryear has come to life in this graciously restored inn. The elegant brick building was built in the 1860s by the people of the community. It was originally used as a school and convent by the Sisters of Notre Dame. Located just 300 meters from mile 0 of the Confederation Trail makes the Inn perfectly suited to accommodate cyclists and hikers. Beautiful old trim, wide staircases, and high ceilings greet guests upon arrival. The 16 spacious bedrooms overlook the garden and surrounding areas. This 4 Star Inn is conveniently located near restaurants, shops, banking, and other points of interest including museum and Catholic church with its famous Louis Mitchell Pipe Organ. Beautiful beaches, harbours, Stompin’ Tom Centre, golf, boardwalks and other nature trails are just a few minutes drive away. T3 Island Bus stop close by. We are proud Island Walk partners. Ask about our Shuttle Service to Island Walk waypoints 7-11. Cafe onsite open to the public.

We were very impressed with the Inn. Recent updates are tasteful and respect the heritage of the building. Guests are able to make themselves at home, accessing the kitchen and laundry facilities. The innkeeper was kind and accommodating. Everything was clean and price was more than fair. If you need a place to stay near the northern tip of the Island, I strongly recommend this place.

We spent a night there whilst touring PEI. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has many interesting features. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were the only people there that night so we were pretty much given our choice of room. It was very hot weather and to a portable a/c was set up in our room. A little too noisy to have on overnight, but we got the room nice and cool before we turned in so it was very comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of food. I would recommend this place to travellers on the North Coastal route of PEI.

We stayed here in October, the off season and made a last minute evening reservation. The owner was very accommodating and took the time to come get us settled in and offered many helpful suggestions of activities in the area.
The room was very clean and cosy and the building has lots of character.
Also had a wonderful breakfast; simple menu at the cafe but very tasty.

Coffee & supplies including clean mugs not available. Only one room key for 2 guests? Toilet water leaking onto the floor in our room.
No clean linens offered for the week's stay.
Continental breakfast was supposed to be provided for 3 days during the local wedding event in lieu of set up help given by the wedding party to prepare for a fully booked facility. Only one day appeared to provide some breakfast. Price charged was not reflective of services provided.
Would never recommend this establishment.

A wonderful place to stay in Tignish PEI. The rooms are great, staff very helpful and the grounds gorgeous. Several places to eat close by. A wonderful location to explore the North Coast. Our Family Values restaurant and Shirley’s Cafe are very close by. A Cafe is opening here at the inn a few weeks down the road.

Small, character inn, reminded me of my grandparents’ house. Comfortable room on the second floor. No elevator. Sitting area on the main floor and a small cafe. Walking distance to shops on Main Street.

In the shadow of an impressive catholic church at the northwestern tip of Prince Edward Island lies this wonderful, unpretentious Inn and Gardens: once a convent, now a serene and friendly place to stay on a tour of the western side of PEI. Our room on the first floor (no, 2) was clean, comfortable, and quiet... with high ceilings and directly across the hall from a good size very pleasant common room, with wi-fi. The staff was helpful and friendly and offered us complete access to the kitchen, which had a long harvest table right out of the servants' kitchen of Downton Abbey. There is a stain glass window of Saint Brigid on the second floor stairway landing. Outside the inn are formal gardens with interesting elements. The adjoining parking lot is convenient and spacious. In addition, the legendary MacAusland Woolen Mill and their old school quality wool blankets are a short ride away. It would be an easy choice to stay here again.

We choose the Heritage Inn for our stay in Tignish. Rooms are not the cleanest, but not bad. Also the Inn is a little outdated. But the Value is great. We had only a Continental Breakfast which I do not like, but it was a great choice of items. But the greatest Asset the Inn has is their staff. Friendly and helpful with everything you need.
