Only needed to rest our heads for one night, Perfect.
Great check-in, Staff very helpful regarding the surrounding area.
Rooms basic, clean, with all we needed.
My friend was taken ill over night, and Reception kindly extended our check-out time to accommodate this.
It was an ok stay for one night. The room was small and they squeezed two queen size beds in with just a small area to walk between them. No hair dryer in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
I made a reservation in March and asked for a quiet room. On day of arrival we were given a rather noisy room. When I questioned the person on the desk I was told they delegate rooms "on the day of". As there was a...More
We chose to stay at motel 6 because we travel with two big dogs, and motel 6 are very dog friendly (other places that allow pets usually have size/breed restrictions and charge and extra fee).

Going anti-clockwise round the lake on Highway 50 onto Highway 89 via Camp Richardson and Emerald Bay takes less than 30 minutes. In winter that is an issue as near Emerald Bay it shuts frequently for avalanche control clearance but in summer should be fine. Going clockwise round the lake Highway 50 onto Highway 28 via Incline Village and Tahoe City takes 55 minutes. On approach to Emerald Bay there are sharp hairpin climbing bends with no barriers in places so don't go too crazy speed wise. Have fun there and don't spend too much in the casinos.
