I think this place is great. My boyfriend and I found it just passing thru Tahoe 2 years ago and made a return visit over 4th of July weekend. Friendliest people ever are in charge of running this establishment and they sure want everyone to have a great time. There's a pool with a billiards / game area outside. Next...

We stay for one night on Labor-Day weekend and all we wanted was the sun to rise. Though it was clean, there was this cigarette smell in the room. Mattress was to soft and you end inevitably in the middle every time, a classic canoe mattress. It is expensive for you get and there are definitely better options a couple...

i moved from the closed environment of Harrah's hotel to the pIne cone for my other night in Tahoe. It is more of the true Tahoe atmosphere and close to hiking and road exploring I wanted to do. Pine cones there were, along with the squirrels and the wonderful scents of the forest. My room appeared to have been recently...

Cute rooms, a little small bit very clean. At $100 a night it was a great, and close to everything. Perfect for a quick trip where you won't be in the room much anyway! Plus it's pet friendly! .............................................

Ok, we didn't have a reservation and got here about 10 pm on a Friday night, only needed one night. Glad there was a room available, the place looks cute from the outside. Paid $124 for the room--which surprised us by having a kitchen with a 4-burner stove, full-size refrig, a coffeemaker & microwave, and a small table with 2...

Cute from the outside, nice outside amenities, especially for kids and groups, but since the whole extended family that runs the place seems to live there and hangs out outside their rooms and spends a great deal of their time outside smoking in the ping-pong, pool table, barbecue area it is not very inviting for guests to hang out there...

The reservation was for a handicapped room. When we arrived I was told they had overbooked and no handicapped room was available. We had to take a regular double but they did provide a stool for the tub. The people were friendly and did all they could to accommodate us. After the first night, the room was not made up...

Right on highway 89, easy to find, good variety of choices to eat nearby, clean, old fashioned motel room. Thin walls, but that didn't seem to be a problem in our stay. Our small room had a tv, microwave and fridge, coffee maker, small table and a chair. Weather permitting, each room has a table and chairs available outside the...

As others have pointed out, this place isn't luxurious, but it was sufficient. The owners seem to really try to make it as nice as possible. I liked that they used quilts instead of those nasty bedspreads at most cheap motels, and the breakfast pastries were fresh from a local bakery - very nice! We got the best rate by...
