Castle Hill Lodge is situated in beautiful countryside south of Queenstown. It's a great spot to drive to Milford Sound from. Very warmly welcomed and shown to our very comfortable room with sparkling clean en suite. Guests also have the use of a lounge with TV, guide books and DVD's. Superb breakfast set us up for our days sightseeing! Mark...

Sharon and Mark are wonderful hosts, providing cups of tea and great breakfasts and good advice on how we could make the most of our time in the south. We also enjoyed their conversation and company, especially over a delicious dinner cooked by Sharon. The room was spotless and equipped with everything we needed, and the guest sitting room was...

The lodge was recommended by Stu's fly fishing as I had booked 4 days fishing with him. I was delighted that he did. Mark and Sharon were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble,my room was very comfortable and dinner with wine included each night was excellent.

As usual great moments in garston with sharon and mark. Contrary to usual impersonal places they will welcome you like one of their own. I go there every year when I go fishing the Mataura and I have never been disappointed.

We booked a room with 2 single beds for 2 nights and specified a reminder in my email couples of months before we arrive. Due to my work schedule, I cut short our stay to 1 night. We informed Sharon in advance and asked for a pack lunch since there is no refund for the extra night we've already booked...

An excellent place to stay with hearty breakfast. Quiet, lovely gardens and we had a spacious bedroom (ensuite). The DIY BBQ packs provided were adequate for our dinner too. Mark and Sharon are perfect hosts. Thoroughly recommended - especially to revive yourselves on the Round the Mountain Cycle Trail as we were riding.

We had the pleasure of staying with Mark and Sharron for several nights at their B&B. Upon arrival Sharron greeted us with a warm welcome and was happy to let us know where we could grab a bite to eat and give us recommendations on what to do in the area. There was a comfortable guest lounge with lots of...

Absolutely horrible stay that changed the joy of our entire trip to Nz, all courtesy of this female person - we don't even know whether she is the owner or receptionist or just customer service rep. Whomever she is, she definitely needs serious courses to learn how to talk to customers and be courteous enough to allow them to enjoy...

It is, of course always dissapointing when you receive a negative review and as can be seen from all the other reviews this does appear to be wildly inconsistent with other feedback we have received. This particular guest was caught trying to sneak extra people into the room while we were out of the house and was asked to pay...

We stayed in this place one night on the 1st of Jan 2016 as this was the only place available for me during my trip to Queenstown. You need to a car to reach Castle Hill. Easy one hour drive from Queenstown thru very beautiful country side. It is a small farm house. The couple are English and very hospitable...

We stayed with Sharon and Mark for 3 nights. Our room was large and very comfortable with terrific views of the surrounding countryside from picture windows on two sides. Breakfasts were great. (Sharon is a wizard at making perfectly crisp bacon.) Both Sharon and Mark were extremely warm and helpful with information about the area. They are fun people to...
