After reading about this hotel in the Sunday Times I booked a five night stay for late November. Only rooms at the back were available and we stayed in Room 3 which was very poor. No chairs, little space, no toiletries and a fridge for a bedside table! It was too cold to sit outside at night so there is... More

Martha and her family run a really nice small hotel. Rooms are comfortable and well designed ( recently refurbished), really quiet, nice breakfast all immaculately clean. El Golfo is a nice peaceful place but convenient for traveling throughout the island, with excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk. If you've got kids don't come here they'd be bored but perfect... More

We spent one night in this quaint little hotel with comfortable bed and super clean room with lovely modern ensuite shower room. Parking on site. Staff very friendly and breakfast good. There was fridge in bedroom and tv that we could not figure out how to operate. There is not much to do in El Golfo except eat and drink... More

We stayed here one night. Small hotel but has everything you need. Room was a bit dated but was clean and everything we needed we had a fantastic view over the ocean. A little bit of Spanish is needed as hotel staff did do not speak English, but that was ok for us Breakfast is cereal, bread with cheese and... More

Nice hotel in El Golfo. Our room was comfortable, but lacked extras such as toiletries in the bathroom. Best rooms (pool view and less windy than at the back side) are at the front side. Very pleasant pool area with comfortable seats. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was basic but adequate. The price of the overnight stay was good value. El... More

We stayed 1 week. Room was nice and clean just like the rest of this small hotel. It is the only hotel in this small village on the coast. Breakfast was simple but good. The pool help you when it is too Windy for the black beach 200 meter away. The surroundings are one of the spot you have to... More

Getting rest is a vital aspect from a hotel and that is something you will certainly get in this small family run hotel. The watchdog - Lola - will ensure that there won't come any strangers unanounced on the premisises. The hotel - El Hotelito - is located in the tiny village ( 1 street only ) "El Golfo", with... This little hotel has spacious and very clean rooms and bathrooms with a little private balcony. There is a nice terrace with a pool and you can see the sea from your room. The breakfast is nice if not extraordinary. The village of El Golfo itself is lovely and very quiet (at least in March) with quite some fish restaurants.

We stayed a full two weeks in El Hotelito in July 2015, and enjoyed every day. We had a room on the upper floor overlooking the swimming pool and the Atlantic. If possible, pay the extra Euros to get a room with this view. It is worth it. The room, bathroom and balcony were spacious, well kept, and cleaned every... More

This hotel could easily be top-rated, but just lacks that really friendly family approach that would be necessary for this - in fact, if it were not for the very pleasant English-speaking daughter (? - no-one ever introduced themselves!), who seemed to be doing the lion's share of everything, this would have been down to a three-star rating. We have... More
