        Hotel description
River Cottage is a recently renovated former fishing lodge on the banks of the River Wye at Llyswen, mid-way between Hay-on-Wye and Brecon. Llyswen is a pretty village on the Wye Valley walk and is an ideal base to explore the beautiful countryside and take part in a variety of activities such as walking, cycling, pony-trekking, fishing, canoeing and water sports. High above the village is the bird sanctuary of Bechfa Pool, a beautiful spot for watching wildfowl and enjoying the spectacular panoramic views over the Brecon Beacons, the Begwyns, the Black Mountains and the Wye Valley.
