If you are a train enthusiast there is no better place to stay. I took my husband here for a birthday treat as he has always had an interest in trains. The accommodation is in converted train carriages and the evening meals are served a carriage diner. We stayed in room 3 the Seagull room, the four poster bed was...

My daughter bought me this as a present via Groupon so I thought it may not be up to much for the bargain price paid. I could not have been more wrong, a lovely welcome was given by the front of house manager who could not have been more friendly and helpful Our seats were in the conservatory adjacent to...

Friendly service, nice setting. Food took a took a long time to come out when the restaurant wasn't busy. Bill didn't coincide with offer we were given. Became embarrassing to sort. Other than that food was OK. Could do with improvement with bland food but the setting made up for it .

Highlight of my year so far! We have travelled on a Pullman style train, and have slept on the overnight sleeper from Fort William. But to stay in a hotel created from old railway carriages is certainly different. The hotel is built around a central bar area with carriages for sleeping on one side and a dining room and function...

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little bit different. It's very quaint, friendly and clean. We were based in the royal suite which is spacious and modern. It's amazing what they've done with an old train carriage. Our little boy loved watching the trains go by. Be warned they do continue all through the night...

Had a lovely two days staying at the above. We stayed in the Orient Express Room, quite a small room, but everything you need is there. The bathroom I understand is one of the largest, beautifully tiled and looks quite newly furbished. Inclusive of the rate is a continental breakfast, full English is available at an extra cost. Would definitely...

Stayed over night here for a mid week break away from home. Original train carriages set on the side of the train line. Some of the carriages have to be refurbished but still a fab adventure. Dinner was included in our offer, we had a really nice meal in a train carriage. Food was well cooked. Nice little bar in...

A unique hotel, railway carriages renovated into en suite rooms. The novelty value is through the roof, so different!from check in to check out each member of staff was friendly and helpful. Our meals were superb, hats off to the chef! A welcoming environment has been created, sat in front of the open fire, chilling. I would only say that...

A difficult one to rate because of it's uniqueness so we are going down the middle.A great place for rail enthusiasts as it is adjacent to the main East coast rail line.As such there are trains day and night thundering by which makes sleep difficult. Also as accomadation is in a converted rail carriage space is at a premium. Eating in...
