Please don't be put off by the other reviews on here. Forgetting about the outdated interior look the most important aspects were met for me. Friendly staff, location was perfect having driven from Essex to go to the Riverside Stadium. Room was clean with a good size bathroom and the bed was really comfy I had an excellent nights sleep....

we went to the christmas party last week the food was very good we had some beef and turkey all very nice the apple crumble and custard was lovely ,plenty of space on the dance floor ,the only comment i could say is the decor espacially the ladies bathroom is tired and dated but this wouldnt stop me from going...

We were a family of 12 Including grandparents mother grandsons and great grand daughters.booked for 12oclock got served at 1oclock. Dinner was tasteless that included the meat. Got the impression they were not organised.

Stayed here for 1 night as a work mate back in Australia had her wedding reception here back in 1974 and she wanted us to take some recent photos. The pro’s are the really friendly staff, the rooms are large, the breakfast was great and is included in the price the shower has plenty of hot water and the bed...

Came for the carvery for a family birthday meal and was not disappointed, meat and veg were delicious and in the tray of roast potatoes there was black pudding, may not be to everyones tastes but I was in my element. Yorkshire puddings were lovely and overall I was very happy and would return
