We arrived a bit stressed out - on our first vacation in years. We had thought our dogs - one senile, the other three weeks post operative - would not allow us to leave. I was keen on fishing, my wife looking for tranquility.

Boy did we find it!!!!

This B&B is in a suburbian environment in the middle of a tiny community, surrounded by absolutely gorgeous North West Coast hills, streams and creeks. The B&B features an enclosed lovingly cared for garden - ideal for our four legged friends, who visibly relaxed after a travel that was VERY scary for our old dog, who, being deaf and blind, had not dared leaving the trunk of the car - the only environment he was able to recognize - for two days.

Norm and Corlea, our hosts provided us with a very warm welcome. Norm drove us around for at least 30 km, showing us all the access spots to the gin clear rivers and creeks. Corlea provided some of the best home baked goods and fruit for breakfast that we enjoyed in years. If we had met with the best of our long standing friends and family, it could not have been better.

Thank you, Norm and Corlea!

We'll be back!

We stayed two nights this last week and really enjoyed our time . Lorraine has a beautiful home and was very welcoming. We sat out on her deck one morning and evening sipping coffee totally relaxing . watched chickadees, gold and purple finches, nuthatch, hummers, at her feeders. She has Adirondack chairs out near her green house as well.
She is building an addition sun room which is almost complete and ready for guests to enjoy the 'Birds' and her garden 'Blooms'
See my photos.
There is one bathroom that is shared with the other guests. I have to honestly say if you are 6'2" or taller I was really tight in the double-bed.
My wife is smaller then me though and she was comfortable.
Lorraine is very knowledgeable about Grand Manan. The Long Eddy 'Whistle' light was a beautiful spot to watch sunsets. Just make sure you drive 'past ' the Lighthouse to the parking area by the long wood bench. It's a locals spot.
See photos!
Breakfast was delicious. Local fresh made bread made for wonderful crunchy thick toast. Fresh fruit, raspberry jam , muffins and the eggs were tasty too.
We had great conversation at her breakfast table in morning with two other couples from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Lorraine does prefer to be paid in cash. Overall for the accommodations, breakfast, garden and birds venue. Information and guidance her price is very reasonable.
