We had a nice, uneventful stay, we only booked a room here as Strawberry Hill has screwed up our reservation and were booked, coming from the Kanopi House and going to Strawberry Hill afterwards, Golden Eye was a nice change, though we were bored after a day, we couldn't imagine what was to there for few days... food was average...

Just beautiful. The town of Oracabessa is full of charm and wonderful people. Nestled on the Sea with a mountainous backdrop. In times gone by, Ian Flemming wrote all of his James Bond books here. The acreage has been purchased by music mogul Chris Blackwell and although upgraded all of the surroundings, held on to the charm that is the...

Just leaving Goldeneye and can't say enough great things about the resort or the wonderful staff! If you are looking for an extremely tranquil Caribbean experience, this is your place. We felt like we had an entire island almost to ourselves at times. We had planned on doing a few off-site excursions during our stay, but cancelled them to enjoy...

This hotel is a case study for originality and extreme quality. Firstly, owner Chris Blackwell, really knows and understands Jamaica. His staff are locally employed, well-looked after, and well managed. They're delightfully friendly. The service is outstanding. The food is delicious and appears at the right speed. Very fair prices. The whole setting is spectacular and brilliantly conceived. The rooms...

I've had the luck to be able to travel around the world. Very few places have ever connected so deeply as did Goldeneye. From the moment you arrive, you begin to feel a warmth and tranquility surrounded by tropical beauty. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly, the accommodations are an understated elegance, the food is fresh and amazing and...

Found this place a few months ago and committed to taking my wife for a short vacation. Cannot wait to go back. Meals, service, reservations, accommodations ... Everything was perfect. We stayed in lagoon cottage 10 and are ready for our next trip. Highly recommend the turtle tour and snorkeling. It's everything a vacation should be and 7 days wasn't...

It is always tough to find the right balance in the Caribbean between informality and functionality but Goldeneye nails it. It is the antithesis of the 'jacket and tie for dinner' style of hotel (that has it's place in the market) so if you want to kick your shoes off for the week and really wind down in the most...

We purchased a day pass to visit Goldeneye. As James Bond fans we were keen to see where Ian Fleming had lived and written many of his books. The site was beautiful, the staff welcoming and we had a wonderful day, but had no opportunity to look around Ian Fleming's house or learn more about the history of his time...
