I spent a weekend at Montana with my boyfriend and my daughter and her friend, Al and Elaine treated us like family. Al took us on an ATV trek, it was so fun and he stops to talk about points of interest all along the way, he's very knowledgeable about the history of the old homestead, the wildflowers, and the wildlife in the area. Back on the ranch we did axe throwing, a bonfire with the other guests and Elaine welcomed us into their home and taught us how to make cheese from the milk we just got from milking the cow! The cabins are so comfortable and clean, We were surprised with fresh eggs from their chickens, everything was so relaxing and comfortable. Elaine and Al are genuine down to earth people, doing what they love to do. We went back in the winter with friends and did it all again with snowmobile excursion, we love it there! I highly recommend Montana Hill.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in March, and we had an awesome time! We were originally planning to come in February, but when our daughter unexpectedly got sick, they allowed us to postpone a month. Al and Elaine were very friendly hosts and we loved the snowmobile tour that Al took us on. We got to see some old cabins and outbuildings on the ranch and learn some of the history, which was fascinating. The cabins were cozy and stocked with DVDs, books, games, etc... We also learned how to make mozzarella cheese during our stay which was pretty cool! The cheese comes from fresh milk from their Jersey cow which they milk every day and you are welcome to watch. We definitely want to visit the ranch again, hopefully in the summer next time!

We’ve been anxiously awaiting this trip for a few months now. We did have to delay our original date by a few months due to the local restrictions from Covid for which Elaine was very accommodating and helped add two more groups of friends to our original booking. Everything we had imagined on the ranch was even better when we arrived. Beautiful cabins all wonderfully organized with everything we needed to easily prep meals. Hot tubs all ready to go the moment we arrived. Al and Elaine really love all the animals on this ranch. The horses were all so well cared for just up from the ranch. Chickens, cows and a new calf were there as well to greet us every morning. The snowmobiles are a real highlight. You’ll be toured around the property with a handful of stops during which Al describes the history of the area. We will be back!

Pictures dont lie! Amazing time cabins were just as pictured. Al, Elaine and Clara were awesome hosts. Lots of activities to partake in, snow shoe to explore, or sit and relax in your own cabin with personal hot tub in the quiet Cariboo. Al made a great ski doo tour guide stopping at points to inform everyone of the history surrounding the ranch. Can’t wait to go back and try it in all seasons!

A wonderful family vacation in this winter wonderland of adventure. My husband and I in one cozy cabin and the three kids in the other. This is an absolute must especially during a pandemic. Al and Elaine ensured we had an amazing stay. Fresh Eggs awaited us and a new born baby calf. Al guided our snowmobile outing which proved to be one heck of a history lesson dating back to the pioneer days in the 1800 that will make you want to read The Rainbow Chasers. My copy ordered! The phenomenal Wells Gray provincial park is a short drive away. Our only regret is not booking a longer stay. We will definitely be back here!
