Situated opposite the water from the ferry terminal in a magnificent hundred-year-old building is a lovely hotel in the style of British seaside resorts. Fortunately that is where the English analogy ends. The food was wonderful. The service was wonderful. And on a cold winters...More

Stunning venue with a lovely bar and bistro, great decor (beautiful old chess table, bookcase, vintage wallpaper etc) a warm fire place, comfortable couches, a perfect place for food and/or drinks while you wait for the ferry back to Auckland or to enjoy the sunset....More

Yes it will be fine October can be quite chilly especially in the evening, unlikely you would want a/c at all
