After driving all day it was time to stop. This place is easy to see. I went in. Seen a dining area from the outside and thought good supper too. I went in the guy was rough looking. I would like a room for the night I said. He gives me the price. Would you like to see it? Sure. We go. He opens the door and the muskiness of the room was to be believed. Very old and dated. I will take it I said. Where else would I go at this time of the night and out in the middle of nowhere. We haul the luggage up. The TV was in the corner and small. I asked him earlier about the restaurant and he said no it's not available. Yet when I was checking in, I saw three people in the back of the kitchen cleaning up. Something weird about this place. Anyone that likes this place has not traveled too much. We spent the night. The place was clean and so was the bathroom. The next day, I could not wait to get out of here and that feeling started the night before. We went for supper at the place down the street and thats a story to follow another mess. Never again. I'll drive all night before dropping anchor here. It looks great outside but you know what they say about the book?…
The travel guide amenities were totally wrong for this motel. There was no supper available or breakfast the following morning, no fridge or coffee maker in the room, no WIFI available, no ice, pop or snack machines. We had to walk across the road for supper & breakfast the following morning in the pouring rain. We picked this motel because of the services & amenities that were suppose to be available.
We stayed two nights and were really impressed by the hospitality of our hosts. The room was large, clean and cosy with a spectacular view on the sea. We were surprised by the quality of the food served in the dining room. Some people seating at a table next to us had caught some cod fish earlier that day and had it prepared by the chef...they were excited by the gesture and the taste of the dish ! We will definitely go back and recommend to make a stop there on your way to Gaspe. Woth every penny !
I really liked the hotel. Room was small but clean, it has a fridge, a tv, and free wireless internet. The employees are so kind and helpful. They speak English very well and helped us so much with where to visit. Breakfast was simple, but I liked that; coffee, orange juice, butter, cheese, jam, bread (+ toaster), cereal and milk. The location is excellent; 5 min walk from the bus station and metro, 20 min walk to the downtown and old Montreal. Overall, it’s hard to find a better place in this price range and at such a good location in Montreal.
