Overall a great place to relax for a few days. This is an exclusive quiet place that's best for couples. The food is excellent. Be sure to try the many Brazilian fruit juices, tapioca, and the various seafood dishes with fruit sauces. I love the use of flowers in all their decorations.

The hotel stay in Porto de Pedras, 2 hours from Maceio. Just next to Sao Miguel dos Milagres. A huge beach sand, includes other hotels for more then 10kms. The Aldeia Bejupira is a small hotel, only 20 rooms. Not for kids, only 16+. What means, no noises. Book with the hotel your transfer to the hotel. Around R$200, 1... More

The breakfast is very nice, charming rooms, the TV should be closer to the bed (if you are in a long stay is nice to have movies to see as well...), the beach is perfect but the price is very high...I understand the rooms need a reform inside, but keeping the Mediterranean touch in its buildings! The pool area is... More

This beachfront lodge is just like previous euphoric reviewers have described. A long stretch of secluded beaches at your feet to wander 'round and recharge your solar batteries. A roomy 85 m2 cabin with all comforts - split a/c, huge flat screen TV with DVD player and USB plugs, full privacy and silence. An excellent restaurant open all day. A... More

This place is truly amazing, a hidden gem in a (still) almost virgin beach in Alagoas coast. The beach is very beautiful, with warm water all year around and a great variation of sea level during the day. It's perfect for long walks, stars contemplation, total relaxation. The "pousada" has a beachfront pool with swimming area, so you can alternate... More

This is a fantastic beachfront pousada, on a still unspoilt stretch of the Brazilian coastline. Accommodation is in large "malocas" with big bathroom, living room, bedroom and balconies. Very simply and tastefully decorated with aircon, large TV/DVD and a great film library. Food is generally very good (although you may get tired of it after a few days as there... More

“Make sure you visit the "natural pools" on the reefs off the coast, as well as the manatees in the nearby river. These trips can be arranged via ARIBAMA, a local NGO. Choose one of the older malocas near the sea. The newer rooms towards the rear of the property lack the same charm.”
