Some of the other reviews outline the challenges of this motel.

The reception was well done, fast, professional and polite. The person doing the work was personable and professional.

The room left something to desire. Small. No desk. No A/C. Virtually no internet. I was getting speeds less than 1 megabyte per second so anyone hoping to use the internet for general web browsing can forget it. For such a large motel/suite I am surprised they are using either LTE, satellite or point-to-point internet. The signal strength to the room was fine, it was the service that was horrible.

The rooms are a mishmash of lamps styles, a ceiling repair painted in beige while the rest of the ceiling was white. Loose power plug receptacles. Noisy rooms as the soundproofing between units is poor. I suspect that they added rooms to the facility some time in the past. Dirty carpets.

All the exterior paint on all the room doors is mottled and looks like it was repainted but using only one coat of paint.

The sink was broken with 2 of the 4 tabs used to prevent small items dropping into the plumbing of the sink were missing.

The price is good, but the compromises in physical room quality and poor interent are difficult to rationalize given the general state of the facility.

If someone is looking for a cheap place outside of Banff for staging adventures into the Park this place would be fine for sleeping at as long as you don't mind some of the issues.

This hotel was about $30 cheaper than anything else we found while passing through, so decided to stay here in the summer. There was no air conditioning, just an open window with the option we could turn on a small fan near the window. It is also right beside the #1 highway, so busy with traffic at all hours with an open window. Also, it was the hardest mattress I have ever slept on, while I don’t mind a firm mattress, my daughter and I were left aching in the morning. However, everything in the room worked and it was clean and easy to get to. Unless finances are extremely tight and you NEED to save those few dollars, I would recommend staying somewhere there is air conditioning so that you don’t have to sleep with an open window beside a busy highway

Unfortunately I didn’t read reviews but please take it from me… this budget motel is NOT worth it. No a/c, tv didn’t work, wifi didn’t work, it was so hot in the room we couldn’t even stand being here to change. Outside looks like a landfill. Black mold in the bathroom, cracked tiles, dirt all over the walls. I was also told I could park in the back and on the side and got a 90 dollar ticket for parking where I was told I could park. When I brought up my concerns I was told that this is the most affordable motel and that was all I got. No apology. I told them I nwanted to leave but would have to tough out my second night here as there was no vacancy anywhere else. But I wanted to get a refund. He told me he could refund me for the second night IF I leave, which would mean zero refund since I spent the first night here and would be paying in full for it. I’m so disappointed in the lack of integrity and will never return. Please have a look at the attached pictures . Also, we tried to get cool at night by leaving the patio door open. But then the semi trucks ripping by kept us up. Worst stay of my life . And I still have one night here. Nightmare .

We stayed at Big Horn Inn and Suites in late August, 2022, and were very disappointed. The common areas of the motel were dirty, with broken furniture, and pest traps on the floor in the hallways. Our room had electrical extensions stretched across and off the floor, connecting lamp, tv, and fan. Our bathroom exhaust vent seemed to be connected to the manager's apartment stove vent, resulting in the filling of our room with strong (if not overwhelming) garlic and other exotic smells from the kitchen below. We found a towel on the floor in our bathroom, and had to ask for washcloths at the office (the desk clerk had a hard time understanding why we needed them!),. The shower was very small and the bathroom fixtures were well worn. Needless to say, the price paid for our lodging was lower than places in Canmore and Banff, but what we got was not worth even half the money paid. The photos and reviews on their website are very misleading, the latter clearly being written by friends or family.

Well our room was clean that was the only positve. This is a older building very run down. Chips, dings and stains or furniture, walls, floors. Room lock very flimsy, no AC one dusty noisy fan to use. Common area had a microwave but was part of former room so also a toilet and shower poorly taped off. PIllows were the flatest things I have ever seen. Front desk not staffed until late am so difficult to get extra towels. This building needs some love and major updating. Family owned and "Dad" appeared very keen to help you but younger staff not so much. The cost was riduculous for the room and could only be gotten away with because close to Canmore, Banff.
Paint that front lobby and straighten up the pictures so gives a better impression.

We had a terrible stay at this motel, the internet didn't work, no A/C, the rooms are disgusting, very dirty, and the bathroom smelled like urine. The TV didn't work. We cut our stay short and left.
My advise to you, DO NOT stay here, go to the next town for a better rate and stay. This motel was definitely overpriced.

Very dirty property, trash in hallway, room dirty stains everywhere like under bathroom sink, no air conditioner, 2 fans in room but so dusty looks like has been picked up from garbage. Worst of all fire alarm was ripped out of the wall. Shame on owner, management and hay’s keeping-

This hotel should be closed by the Alberta Health Department in my opinion. The pictures of this hotel in their advertisement are misleading. The details in the hotel's web page says cleaning is once a week. I now believe it! We must have been on day six from the dirt in the room. The floor was unvacuumed, the sink in the bathroom and counter were filthy. Fecal matter appeared stuck in toilet. We doubt the sheets had been changed since last slept in. There were footprints on the wall. Without air conditioning the window had to stay open all night while listening to traffic on the trans Canada Highway. If you have an emergency the only contact is by a telephone number that went unanswered after multiple tries. We had planned to stay two nights but were so disgusted we left after only one night. If fact, if it was not late when we got there we would have left on seeing the room. This was the dirtiest hotel I can remember after spending many years as an international traveler. Just look at their web page pictures taken probably years ago and compare them to the current condition photos I took.

No AC. Plumbing suspect for bathroom sink. Beginner DYI'er completed bathroom renovations. You get what you pay for as this is one of the cheaper nightly rates around. Spend the extra $50, your wife will thank you!

There was no air condition. There were a few beetles crawling on the floor. The motel was advertised as having free internet, but there was no internet. After telling owner about no internet, he said it's just slow. He's a liar. My computer connected to the motel network, but the network, but the network didn't provide internet at all.
