This Inn is ideally placed for walkers/cyclists etc setting out on the Sussex downs. We cycled to Easbourne from here and took the train back (you can get a cab from the station nearby if you wish). Had a delicious liver and mash. My mate had the fish pie and said it was good. Lovely walk down a nearby lane...

Attentive and friendly service. Good selection of Ales and great Pimms. Lovely garden on Sunny days!😜🌝 Good mix of people from families to couples and dog friendly. So popular with locals so booking is advisable. Now to the food. Have never been disappointed here. Great ingredients- he prides himself on knowing the source of his food and the Sunday roasts...

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst my husband went on a GPS course nearby and I went shopping in Brighton. The Inn is well placed for both activities and would also make a great stop over point for anyone doing the South Downs Way. The food, both breakfasts and evening meals was excellent - well presented with a good...

Apparently it's changed hands. Food is still great, plenty of veg with roast. Kids chicken nuggets brilliant, kids sausage and mash a bit small. Friendly staff and good sized play area outside. Worth a visit.

We were made to feel welcome, and had a hearty breakfast prior to our day's walking. But our stay was spoiled by a bedroom that was in serious need of attention. There was black mould in the shower room, probably as a result of a leak somewhere. If you're planning to stay, check that the problem has been sorted out!

We had some nice food and drink but the cost was out of proportion to the food. Pint of beer, gin and tonic and a plain baked potatoe and a baked potatoe with coronation chicken should not cost £21.80!

Quaint traditional pub with a few rooms, which were clean and fine for the night we were there. TV and en suite shower/toilet. Good food and friendly staff. Large garden with pleasant views. Would recommend for any short stop over.

Relatively nice beer however, the food is overpriced and disapponting. We went this Sunday and were amazed at the prices for kids' meals. Over £6 for macaronie cheese! I went for the ham, egg and chips. The 'hand carved ham' was wet and very disppointing for the £10. My wife had roast lamb. Apparently local! Not much cop.

We stayed for two nights and the room was simple but cute and clean. Being so near the main road I was worried about the traffic but that wasn't an issue at all. The bus stop is right outside the door which was great. The pub served us great food and the full english breakfast had amazing sausages. We will...
