I had not stayed in a high ceilinged old style hotel since I was a student and stayed at the Yates Hotel in Victoria. It was fun to relive the experience of staying in an old time hotel with grand window dressings, solid wooden furniture and a shared bath. As pointed out by previous reviewers, this hotel is old and...

We revisited the hotel for a second time. The man at the front let us know that karaoke was on that evening and helped us with a quieter room. It was small but very clean and pleasant. Morning coffee at the downstairs restaurant. I just want to say that the staff is just incredible! Hotel and restaurant!!! We will always...

We stayed in the room with jet tub. It was very nice and clean. I know some people have reported a musty smell but we didnt find that at all. We arrived around dinner. The gentleman at the front desk let us look at a couple rooms to decide which one we preferred. The next day we had breakfast downstairs....

The hotel is old n hasnt been renovated in recent years. I believe it used to serve seamen from the fishing industry. It is a no frill not fancy place but is relatively decent n cheap. I like the location because I'm from Seattle, I can avoid the traffic of downtown Richmond n especially Vancouver if I'm not spending a...

Steveston Hotel isn't posh, but you aren't paying for posh. It is like going home for a while. I always have the shared bathroom rooms, just like with my sharing with my sisters at home. The room has everything I need but nothing more. Looking at this price range this is the best you can do in the lower mainland....

DO Not listen to the bad reviews, they are either not true, a belligerent client, or perhaps from way back in time. We spent 5 nights at this hotel, having been to Steveston many times for a short visit, bt never indulging in the town except on the run. I specifically chose this hotel to be in this region of...

We wanted to spend a day at Steveston and as this was the only hotel in the village, we figured we'd give it a try. It was built in 1895 so we had no illusions of luxury. It fit well with the history of the area and we had no issue getting a room on a Friday night. We took...

We stayed at this hotel over the August long weekend, as it was the only place in Richmond we could get a room for 2 nights at very short notice. We were visiting Steveston but did not have our own transport locally, so this is a fabulous location to walk around the village and access all that it has to...

We stayed here for the night after our Christmas dinner party at a near by restaurant. The service at the hotel and bar was fantastic. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was also great. The room we had was less than impressive, very outdated kind of 1940's style. Old fashioned furniture, small tube style TV, no wifi, flower...

We recently took a trip into the historic fishing village of Steveston just south of Vancouver. This small corner of the predominantly Asian city of Richmond boasts numerous shops and eateries and sits right on the mouth of the Fraser river. After a taking a whale watching tour and enjoying some sight-seeing in the village and a late dinner with...

“I visited during the week and stayed in a less expensive room that was over the bar which was not a problem because it was a quiet night. When I return with family or on a weekend I will take the upgrade to avoid being over the bar since it is a hopping place in the center of town that serves as a locals hang out. Also, the restaurant has good food at reasonable prices and good portions.”

“I was advised not to take rooms over the Bar area, but even after weekdays and a weekend, it was not noisy. I suggest you actually call the place to confirm the reservation as there is not always someone on line verifying the emails.Just get on the phone and tie it all up in one shot, this will save you the uncertainty of an unconfirmed reservation”
