Vancouver has become quite an expensive city! We usually stay in city center but this time, we have a larger group & decided to try area a bit further out to save a bit. All the previous reviews were right on the money. The hotel is very clean with good size rooms. Parking is secure. The breakfast is complementary and offers quite a variety including healthy options. Lots of restaurants close by with some that are walkable. Sky train station is about 10-15 min walk. The area feels pretty safe. The drive into city center can drag out if runs into traffic but with the a room (two queen beds) being roughly $200-250 cheaper per night compares to a nice city center hotel, this is well worth it. Lastly, the staff is unbelievably professional, from front desk to breakfast crew, everyone was so nice. Eric checked us in and what a nice guy! Now we experience the Holiday Inn hospitality, we will surely consider this option for our future return trips to Vancouver and elsewhere.

My wife and I stayed here in early February and again in late February using the hotel as a breakpoint on our trip between New Zealand and the UK.. We have stayed here before on several occasions and are yet to be disappointed.

The hotel is completely renovated from reception and breakfast area to the rooms and the beds are extremely comfortable (my wife wants to buy one, though not sure of the economics of getting one back to NZ!). So, all change then. The one thing that has not changed is the friendliness of all the staff from shuttle driver to room attendants, kitchen staff and the front desk. Nothing for any of them in my experience is too much trouble.

The hotel has a self serve laundry on the 3rd floor that we found useful having a weeks worth of laundry. It is $3.00 for a wash and $3.00 for the driers. The machines take loonies ($1), toonies($2) and quarters(25c) and you can get change from the front desk if you don't have any.

It is a 10 minute walk to Bridgeport Station on the Canada Line, where you can take a train to downtown or go in the opposite direction to Aberdeen or Richmond Brighouse. Here you will find large shopping centres and plenty of restaurant options. If you are happy with fast food a five minute walk will take you to Tim Hortons in one direction and Burger King in the opposite direction. There is also a liquor store by Burger King if you fancy a couple of drinks back in your room. Directly across the road is an extremely popular Costco, though having been in it, I can't see what all the fuss is about. Maybe you have to be local to appreciate?

For our first visit in early February our flight from Auckland was arriving at 6 am so we paid for the night previous to afford check-in immediately upon arrival. I had called the hotel first to make sure that we would not be flagged as non-arrivals and have our reservation cancelled and despite my worries, everything went like clockwork and we was in our room within five minutes of arriving. Perfect.

The breakfast offering is a mix of fruit, cereals, breads and three hots that change periodically. Normally scrambled egg and then 2/3 from bacon, sausage or cheese omelette. There is the usual mix of hot and cold drinks.

If looking for a YVR hotel then I strongly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Bridgeport. Please note that there two HI Express YVR hotels. Make sure you choose Bridgeport, not Riverport which is in a completely different area.

Because I was in transit through Vancouver, I wanted to find accommodation close to the airport. I had stayed in other Holiday Inn Express hotels so knew what to expect as far as layout and amenities. I was not disappointed, and was very pleased with the attentiveness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the fact that despite its busy location, the interior of the hotel was very quiet. Also, the hotel has done a good job of addressing Covid-19 with plenty of hand cleaning stations, proper signage to remind all of us about social distancing and other precautions. All staff were masked, and the shuttle was consistently being disinfected and seat spacing enforced.

I stayed a couple of times at this Holiday Inn express, all of them being during the pandemic. The hotel is new and the rooms are very comfortable. Each time I stayed at the hotel my room was very clean, this time I even had the bed made in between my nights stay when I left during the day, which was a set a pleasant surprise because not all hotels are doing this right now.
The hotel shuttle is available on demand, staff from the hotel shuttle driver to the desk staff, and the breakfast crew are all very nice and kind. Also, it has a great location especially considering it’s an airport hotel. Costco is right across the street, but no noise comes from it which I have noticed, and there are other restaurants around, as well as a good radius for SkipTheDishes or Uber Eats. Lastly, the gym is quite well equipped with a number of treadmills, free weights, two benches, universal machine, and even kettle bells. The gym looked like it had been meticulously cleaned.
Enjoy your stay, I did.

clean, comfy room, breakfast to go, free airport shuttle makes the stay easy and less stressful than downdown hotels. Walking distance to Skytrain and restaurants for take out during Covid. The room was quiet, the hotel can be reached from HWY 99 and is on bus routes and within walking distance to Richmond downtown.

One of our favourite hotels. We find this the logical place to stay especially if we are flying out of YVR.

It features recently renovated spacious rooms, large new TVs, an upgraded lobby and a breakfast area with an enhanced menu - waffles, eggs, and a variety of other extras you normally wouldn’t find.

A shuttle service to and from the airport can be booked for virtually any time of day.

What’s not to love....

My sisters, cousin and I stayed at holiday Inn express Richmond Airport hotel located next to Costco which is so convenient for us to get flowers because we were there for our baby sister's funeral. In last minute reservations online we had forgotten about CAA discount application, Jon was very kind and helpful to apply it for us and didn't charge us for parking as well.

The hotel staff were all very courteous and polite...not just to us but to everyone. The breakfast dining area was kept sanitized continously as per covid sanitization standards so we feel safe eating in there. The self serving food stations were kept very clean as well with lots of hot items options for breakfast.

The rooms were also very clean as well and housekeeping staff kept us in good amenities supply should we need any requirements.

I would definitely stay at this hotel next time out to Vancouver. It is also located near the premium outlet mall.

Stayed for 5 nights. Very accommodating when we were too tired to eat out but instead bought some food from Costco next door and had it in their breakfast room. The entire hotel was spotless. Breakfast staff were excellent in making sure tables were cleared promptly and the food is constantly replenished.

We were very impressed with the standard of room. very comfortable with good lighting, coffee facilities, microwave. "Normal" coat hangers, rather than the dreadful ones that hock into a row that some hotels insist on. Mini shop for snacks and the receptionist handed over fresh milk for our tea in the room. This room was far superior to some "higher" star hotels that we had just stayed in on our travels around Canada from the UK. Very useful having a airport shuttle.
We were sorry to miss out on breakfast due to a very early morning flight. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

After our cruise, I wanted to stay an extra night in Vancouver because I just love this city! I chose this Holiday Inn Express because it was super close to the train station from the Port of Vancouver and also a $10 ride to the airport. It took us maybe 10 minutes to walk with our luggage - just don't listen to Google when it tells you to walk through the Costco lot on a Sunday.

Because they were sold out the night before from other cruises, we were unable to check in early (10a) but Cindy checked our luggage and we went to Gastown for the day.

After lunch (1p), I called to see if we could check in early and they said that we could. Cindy checked us in and thanked me for being an IHG member. She informed us about breakfast times and also asked if we needed a shuttle ride to the airport, which is complimentary! Yes, we definitely need a ride to the airport. It picks up on the 20 and 40 of every hour and I would suggest showing up 3 hours prior to your international flight.

The room was so much larger than I expected and the bed was so comfortable! The bathroom is also larger than most other hotel rooms so that is really nice to have so much space. In addition to the king bed, we had a desk and chair, a wardrobe, a larger mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, chaise lounger, and a closet. They also provide Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in refillable containers to be more eco friendly and offer a white noise machine to help you sleep.

I would definitely stay here again due to how friendly the staff is, the proximity to public transportation, proximity to the Richmond Night Market (10 min walk), and how spacious and comfortable the room is.

Parking is free if you are an IHG member (free to join). It is underground. It fairly tight for maneuvering and can fill up on occasion. We had to park on the street once. Have stayed there a couple times
