Great location at yvr airport. Lobby restaurant and lounge is very nice but a bit pricey. Hotel rooms are very modern, large and comfortable. Overall a nice experience. Only negative is price. Would stay again though due to convenience of location
I was travelling with my two young kids. No husband in tow and it was a very challenging experience for me. I missed my connecting flight due to my first flight being delayed. Coming home from holidays my kids were over tired & missed their dad. Long story short. I needed a place to stay, I ended up at the elevator of the fairmont yvr with my screaming two year old & around the corner comes Naryan. Hero #1. Instantly offers me a water and assists me onto the elevator while my son is still screaming. He didn’t even ask if I was staying at the fairmont. He didn’t think twice about helping me. Amazing human being. Once he assisted me to the front desk the tears started rolling down my face as I told him I didn’t have a room and was hoping they could accommodate. Which is when the lovely Jenny stepped in. Hero #2. So calm, so supportive. Another amazing human being. Grabbed me tissues. She Took control of the situation & I appreciated it so much. While I was speaking with Jenny, Naryan quickly grabbed a box full of stuffed toys behind the counter and offered them to my kids. At that time, my son had finally calmed down thanks to Naryan. My Long story short… isn’t so short anymore! I realize the importance of explaining my situation to really emphasize the appreciation I had and have for Jenny & Naryan. The second my kids entered the room it felt like a huge weight off my shoulders. Their joy to see the runway and planes was incredible and quickly changed everyone’s moods. Mine especially. And that was all thanks to Jenny. I worked at the fairmont waterfront from 2013-2018 and now live in beautiful Smithers, BC. But it reminded me why I loved working at the Fairmont. The people you work with was always the reason to stay. Oh & The BATHTUB was hero #3. There is No one Better then the Fairmont. End of Story!…
We stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport on Thursday January 26th, we have a 10 year old and a 2 year old and our flight was due to arrive at 11pm. A little over a week prior to our arrival I talked to a very pleasant girl named Alilly and asked if we could have a crib ready in the room as our 2 year would need to go to bed immediately apron arrival and I also requested a runway view as my 10 year old was excited to see the planes. When we arrived to check in at midnight to my surprise Alilly was at the front counter to check us in. She assured me the the crib was in the room ready for us and that we had a view of the runway. When we got to the room it was fantastic, the crib even had a teddy bear in it for our littlest girl, there was a diaper genie and we had a great view of the planes that our 10 year old was beside herself to see! It’s service like that, that will keep us coming back to the fairmont time and time again. I really wanted to say thank you so much Alilly, words can’t even describe how much we appreciate everything you did for us. We had a very long day of flights with 2 young children and to come to the room and everything be the way it was and the reaction of my 10 year old was so fulfilling. As a parent you hope to WOW your kids when you take them to a hotel like yours and you really made that happen for us. Thank you again Alilly and Fairmont, we all really look forward to our next visit at your amazing hotel!…
Refreshing sleep after a long trip. Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent service at front desk. The bar downstairs has ok food, nice area to relax. Took a while to walk to the hotel from terminal because we arrived at C but international is right in front.
So convenient to be at the airport and not have to go outside and take a taxi. Reduces time in the morning when catching a flight. The room was great and the bathroom was amazing! Many homes don’t have one as nice. Slight drawback is nowhere to eat after midnight.
Exceptional venue, we stayed here the night before catching our flight to Europe. Rooms are very spacious, clean and have a view on the departing flights (but zero noise! ). Amazing facilities, pool & gym are very well equipped. Nice dinner at the Jetside Lounge.
Stayed here for two nights, exceptional hotel. The staff were amazing, and the food second to none. It made our 50th wedding anniversary very special and something to remember. To watch planes land and take off from your bedroom is an amazing sight.
Generally as per every year we're here, though breakfast buffet is much missed - and only real orange or other juice should be served at a hotel of this standard; also, valet parking has been removed which is a big negative
We had the pleasure of a stay in runway view suite on Christmas Eve. The room was immaculate, comfy, well equipped, and a great view of the planes coming and going. With an early morning flight, checking in the day before just started our vacation early; pool and jacuzzi swim, cocktails, delicious dinner. And mostly a 5 minute walk down stairs to the airport check-in counter. I'm now a big fan of the Fairmont Vancouver.
A wonderful oasis amid the often chaotic airport terminal. Fantastic place to start your journey if you've a morning flight, or a great place to ease back on your return. Gold Floor Lounge was a great place to watch the traffic on the runway and taxi ways as you enjoy some evening hors d'oeuvres and a beverage. The breakfast is great in the morning as well. Room service for dinner...exceptional!
