The Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport offers travelers a convenient location close to the airport, shopping, and dining options, although some guests have noted noise issues. While the rooms are appreciated for their comfort and handy amenities like the airport shuttle, opinions on their cleanliness and modernity are divided, with calls for updates and more thorough housekeeping. Guests have also had mixed experiences with both the hotel's atmosphere and service, ranging from clean and renovated spaces to neglected areas, and from outstanding assistance to indifferent staff.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite 10th floor. The view was amazing all glass windows facing other buildings and airport. We would watch the planes come and go often. Location is noisy if you have balcony door open. The suite has air conditioning but the bedroom is always hot!! This suite had stove, dishwasher, washer &dryer and fridge. Had all the plates, cutlery, etc for 4 people. I really wish they had a broom in the suite. Instructions for housekeeping wasn’t clear at checkin and our garbage for full fast. Towels only for 2 people so we had to ask for more but there isn’t a place for storage or hanging of towels. The floor was laminate however the entrance ones weren’t together all the way and spaces caught toes. Tv in bedroom and main living room. Pull out couch with bed as well. Overall very nice. Parking was between floors 3-6 and floor 4 was storage and TVs and old mattresses out in the open and a lot of other storage items locked up in a cage in part of the parking lot

Clean with friendly staff. The rooms are well furnished, my room has a small sitting area with a small kitchenette. The location in Richmond is excellent not far from the airport but walking distance to shopping and restaurants. I will return again for any future trips to the area.

I was only at Exec hotel for about 9hrs so I didn’t have the time to basque in the full experience. My room was on the main floor facing the parking lot so it was quite loud. But overall my brief stay was great. I liked that I was able to use the business center to print off documents. They gave me free bottled water and the breakfast they provide is discontinued 10% for guests. Next time I come to the Vancouver airport I wouldn’t mind staying here again

Been staying here for the past decade every time we visit as Richmond is a lovely neighbourhood. Booked one two-bed suite and one queen room ahead, only to be informed on arrival the suite was not available. They then charged a “third person fee” even though it was no longer applicable given the room change, and which would have gone unnoticed had we not checked with them.

Housekeeping standards very poor and inconsistent over our 10-day stay, sometimes only cleaning the toilet and tidying half the bed. One room had a cockroach, other room had mold on the wall. Overall disappointing although we note they have attempted to upgrade facilities.

Staff at the Free Bird were awesome.

The green tea shampoo and conditioner and the lemongrass gel cleanser are my favorites in this hotel experience. The hotel room is very neat and tidy and makes me want to revamp my room so it looks almost exactly like this one. The sheets and pillows are very therapeutic to look at became white is the color of cleanliness and purity. I love the beige and brown stripes on the walls. It's simple but elegant! I would also like to say some good things on the hangers of the closet. The hangers are very unique and I can hang my clothes properly. 😁

my grandson noticed two ants crawling on the wall of the room. my daughter noticed more ants showing up on the washroom counter, on the desk, on our charging cables, walls of the sitting room. She reported the incident to the front desk. the hotel staff initially suggested spraying the room to get rid of the ants for us. In retrospect, that was not an appropriate response. The room is small and enclosed, the spray should not be used while hotel guests are staying there.

Dear D L, We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and truly regret the inconvenience caused. The presence of ants in your room and the way the situation was handled fell below our expectations for guest care. To address this issue, we have reinforced our pest control measures across the property and are working with experts to ensure a more thorough and long-lasting solution. Additionally, we will ensure that our team’s response procedures always prioritize guest safety and comfort in such situations. We thank you once again for bringing this to our attention. Where to begin… we had a 2-bedroom apartment for just over a week. This constituted a “long term” stay so housekeeping twice a week and the rate wasn’t reduced. The dishwasher, washing machine, and patio lock all damaged which made them unusable. We reported this to the front desk, specifically to the front office manager, and nothing was done. It wasn’t acknowledged, and it wasn’t corrected.

Security in the parking lot is questionable. They left the gate open so that the front desk staff wouldn’t be annoyed with buzzers, requesting it to be opened for visiting people attending an event in the banquet room. At one point when I had to push the buzzer, they just went ahead and open the gate without saying a word.

The most confusing thing we experienced was the giant bags of garbage blocking the fire exit stairway. They were placed, of course, right underneath a sign that said, do not put garbage here.

You will not be getting your value for the price you pay here. The rooms are tired and outdated. There is so much minor damage that it adds up to be a lot. It just looks like the owners have given up on the property.

The one positive is that the hot tub is separate from the pool and can be quite relaxing.

A great stay. Like a little apartment really. It was the last stop on a long trip. Our room had a washer and dryer, so we could wash all our clothes from the trip and return home with one less thing to take care of. Airport shuttle was great, efficient and on time! Perfect

I had surgery so I got a discounted room. Though we still paid $40 a night for our dog. They only had one room to offer us since our dog was with us. The room we got was so far away from any entrances that I had to make such a trek after my surgery that it was excruciating. We stayed five days, and it was such a tiny room for me, my husband and our golden retriever. I wish we would have stayed somewhere else.

The internet was so bad that I had to use my cell phone data because it was never stable.

The bed was so bouncy it hurt everytime my dog jumped up or my husband got in bed. The bed slid across the floor because it was just a light frame. To use the kettle, the microwave had to be unplugged. There was no counter space. We had a kitchenette, but the lack of space made it so inconvenient for my husband to take care of me.

I was just so glad to go home. We were going to stay another few days, but I chose to make the travel to the ferry to get home to Gibsons instead, in severe pain from sitting up, just to not have to sleep in that bed one more day. We should have paid more for a better room, I suppose, instead of being put in that tiny space so far away from an entrance.

Dear Stephanie, Thank you for your feedback. We understand that your stay was not ideal, especially after surgery, and we sincerely apologize for the difficulties you encountered. This 375-square-foot room with a stovetop is located farther from the entrance, as our rooms within the main hotel tower do not feature kitchenettes. We also regret that, as we were unaware of your concerns during your stay, we were unable to address them in real time. Please know that we are thoroughly reviewing all of your feedback to ensure a significantly better experience for future guests. Kind regards, Anna Shin Director of Operations

We had a two-bedroom suite at the hotel, which was good value considering how expensive anything is near the airport. The suite had a balcony with a view, the beds were clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant attached, Freebird Table and Bar also provided good food at mid-range prices. We purchased breakfast with the suite at the Freebird and it was excellent value with good service. Should we need Vancouver airport accommodation again, this is where we will stay!
