Sadly, we are only able to stay for one night! With the newly renovated decor, my husband and I really loved our post flight sleep here. Full disclosure, we used a bunch of our Marriott reward points and were also offered an upgrade. Our room on the 15th floor was Sooooo comfortable. There is a sitting room with a tv, a shower with toilet and sink in the middle and a window looking north east over the city. The bedroom also has a tv and both tvs can be operated from a guest’s mobile device. There are lots of outlets for plugs and USBs, and the marble tops on most surfaces made us less worried about leaving watermark. A really neat feature was the low lighting that came on automatically when we each had to get up during the night. Staying in a new place and making sure that one can see where one is going is an important safety feature for us ‘old folks’. I absolutely LOVED the shower with a rain forest head as well as a hand held. The fact that the water poured out onto the floor under the glass doors was a bit worrisome though and necessitated a couple of towels to mop up. On a cold night, we were so glad for the lined curtains which kept out the cold. There was a cold breeze coming through the window seal. We had a healthy breakfast and great coffee downstairs that started our engines for a busy day. Once again, Marriott provided us with a welcome respite after a long travel day.…
Great people in a good place. The airport shuttle, the location close to shops, Skytrain and restaurants are some of the reasons we picked this hotel. The people are the reason I will stop and write a review now before we do our touring today. The front desk staff were all excellent, especially Tracy who helped us with the complicated logistics to get on a cruise. Shinaz at breakfast had an easy smile and Maria at the Mclub was sweet and inviting. When the tv had us stumped, it was Daniel that promptly arrived to resolve our issue. The building is central to business, so road noise was disturbing, but the bed slept well, water pressure on the 16th floor was great, and more lighting is always wanted by us seniors.
We stayed in the double queen room and it was really comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice location close to the airport and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Relatively close to the train station. Walking distance to shopping and other amenities.
My flight was cancelled and I was put up at the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel. I was greeted by a very friendly guest agent, Bevin. He got me into a beautiful and very comfortable room. He exchanged my airport meal vouchers to be used in their restaurant. That was completely unexpected and appreciated. I had a delicious dinner and went back for an equally delicious breakfast. I had a great stay and would definitely return if future plans allow for it.
We were in Vancouver to see an exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery in downtown Vancouver. We have a large van and it would not fit in most parking structures so we needed a hotel with an open parking lot. This is a very nice hotel in the heart of China Town where a number of flight crews stay. It was only several blocks to the Canada Line light rail which starts there and ends in downtown Vancouver only a few blocks from the art gallery. Excellent place to stay but expensive.
My husband and I had to extend our stay in the Vancouver area unexpectedly. After reading reviews we decided to stay at The Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel. We had already spent time in Vancouver and felt this would be a nice change. The location was fabulous for us. The hotel is surrounded by shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. The staff at the hotel is great. We ended up staying here a total of 9 nights. The housekeeping person in our room took care of us and checked everyday to see what we needed. The restaurant is fabulous and we ate many meals here. Each person working in the restaurant was as responsive as the next. The front desk staff always smiled and help in every situation presented to them. I have traveled with my husband around the world and this is one of the best hotel experiences we have had. We have two more nights here but I wanted to ensure I posted this review while I had time before our everyday life takes over.…
Received a nice upgrade. Loved the room. Front desk people were kind and very professional. Room and front desk gets 5 out of 5. Service in bar could be better. I said hello to female waiter/bartender and response was “yes”. Poor manners and reason for 4 out of 5. Food was quite good. Had fish n chips. I wish I could have stayed longer. And there is also a free shuttle to the airport!!
Last month we stay at the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel one night after a long flight we wanted a hotel near the airport. The only glitch was the free hotel schuttle was full and had to wait till it came around again. It wound up taking almost an hour to get to the Hotel. The hotel itself, the staff and the rooms were all good. The next morning we walked around the area ate a nearby IHOP for breakfast and then check out the shopping center before heading downtown.
Booked this hotel for a one-night stay after departing a cruise and flying back home to the U.S. The staff were very efficient and upgraded me to an upper floor corner king suite which was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I must admit that I was disappointed that the M lounge was closed due to Covid which makes no sense because there is a bar/restaurant in the lobby where you could grab a bite to eat and there was no evidence of concerns about Covid. I have to surmise that this property has not reopened the lounge because of either staffing issues (which I can understand) or management does not want to incur the additional costs of providing food and beverages. However, the airport shuttle was a great perk and the driver was courteous and on-time for a 3:30 am airport shuttle. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again but I do hope that management will reopen the M lounge for those of us that have the status and would enjoy the benefits. I would have given this property 5 stars if the lounge had been open.…
4 star hotel with no housekeeping for a five day stay. Post covid travel was there for business Was told to call if I needed anything. Which I did everyday. Didn’t receive what I asked for. No replenished coffee, facecloths, coffee cups, towels soap or shampoo. No garbage emptied and no vacuum. First day they brought coffee but no coffee cups or cream. No room service or restaurant menus in room. The room was lovely and I’ve stayed multiple times but can’t believe they get away with doubling prices while cutting back so badly.
