An Oasis in the city, this B&B is quiet and serene, yet provides easy access to some of the top attractions of Vancouver: 10 Km away from downtown, 15 mins from skiing, an easy drive to Whistler. The area is unique in the city – homes have been carefully blended with the towering Douglas Firs and Hemlock trees, providing peace and tranquility that are rare in a large city. The home is a large, modern Westcoast design, providing plenty of space and privacy. Large decks and gardens are in the front and back, with a thriving creek running through the garden.

Detailed Reviews
I had a heavenly stay here. The suite was spacious and quiet with its own deck overlooking the spacious, secluded, green, sunny back garden. Being nestled in the trees, it really feels like a quintessential West Canadian experience... with the prestine forest... just a few hundred meters from sheer wilderness.
North Vancouver is a great place to be since it's so close to the CBD, but also to trails, wilderness, and in the Winter, skiing.
The hosts gave me privacy, which is exactly what I wanted. So I essentially treated it like a boutique hotel.

We spent a wonderful two weeks at the Urban Woods Bed and Breakfast in Vancouver. Nestled in the tranquil temperate forests with daily vsitors of the feathered variety, it's easy to forget you are so close to the vibe of the city. Urban Woods B&B is located a short stroll from a well-serviced bus route that provides transport to outdoor musts such as Grouse Mountain and Lynn Canyon Park as well as getting into the city to satisfy your cultural thirst.
The hosts Eric and Sheila are so welcoming and friendly, cooking up food better than your mom, that you'll feel that you haven't left home. I would recommend staying here to anyone and I'm already longing to return!

I stayed at the Urban Woods B&B for a wonderful week in Vancouver in October this year. I’m normally extremely fussy about B&Bs so it’s really nice to be able to say that the facilities are very clean and well kept. The rooms are cozy and the breakfast each morning was scrumptious! This B&B has such a wonderful, homely feeling, and is a relaxing place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. The location is beautiful, a real “Urban Woods” with gorgeous views from every room! Also was very safe and easy access, with public transport just a short walk away. We took the bus to most places.
The owners Eric and Sheila, along with being extremely welcoming, are very hands on and always available to give valuable advice on things to see and do as well as travelling to places within Vancouver and beyond.
Vancouver is a really fun city to visit, along with all the normal tourist attractions, I spent a lot of time near Granville Island and attended classes at the Semperviva Yoga School ($21 for unlimited classes for a week – what a great deal!). Can’t wait to go back!

Urban Woods B&B makes you feel like you have left the city, with its tall trees and tranquil creek. The location provides for easy access to public transport and 10 minutes away from many outdoor activities and tourist attractions. During my stay I spent much time visiting Grouse Mountain, Lynn Canyon, Capilano or walking in the nearby mosquito creek all within a short bus trip or even walking distance. Many restaurants can be found on the North Shore so one does not have to venture too far to find a place to eat in the evenings.
The hosts, Sheila and Eric, are really friendly, fun loving and helpful. They really make you feel at home while taking care of your needs and provide a delicious breakfast.
The rooms are located in a three story wooden house with a “homely” feel. The rooms and facilities are kept neat and tidy. The house has a large deck to enjoy in the warmer weather and a sunken lounge with a fireplace for those cold evenings. In addition to the front garden with the creek the house has a quaint back yard where much of the local birdlife can be seen.
I would definitely recommend staying at Urban Woods B&B.
