it's mu first time been to canada and my friend booked it. It is generally the two star hotel but the space is very small, after we opend two big suitcase, there was even no space to walk. However, the restaurant below it is generally not bad, not so expensive price and delliciou. Hotel Staff is kind and nice oh btw the pool is so stange cuz its always raining in VA

To go sightseeing around Vancouver for a few days we booked this hotel/motel which is located in North Vancouver across the Lions Gate Bridge. Location-wise it is fine; we used public transport to get to and from central Vancouver and the buses were very frequent (and there are a couple of bus stops located right by the hotel) and not very costly (note: it is worth getting the Compass Card as fares are cheaper (bus was always $2.40 as of our visit at the beginning of March 2020) and it's fully refundable). Also in the vicinity of the hotel is a Denny's which we ate at, and a few supermarkets a couple of stops eastward. We arrived to check in early and despite being there before check in time, the staff were very friendly and thankfully our room was already ready so we checked straight in after paying a security deposit via debit card (refunded upon check out). I had asked for a room with a microwave and fridge as I had seen through Trip Advisor that these are limited and you should request in advance, unfortunately our room did not have a microwave, however it did have a fridge. There is a microwave in the lobby that they are more than happy for you to use, however it is annoying walking from your room and back with meals, especially as the walk was partly outside and snowing when we were there! Other than a lack of a microwave, our room had all the basic necessities and was cleaned well on a daily basis; the room was nothing special and a bit outdated but it was adequate. When we stayed it was quiet and the beds were okay so sleeping wasn't a problem (again we requested a quiet room). Check out was fine and took no time at all, and we were able to store our luggage for free for a short while as our transport didn't depart until the afternoon. If I was on a budget and returning to Vancouver then I would probably stay here again, but not for more than maybe 4-5 nights at max.

We would like to apologize in regards to not having a microwave in your room. Only a limited number of rooms have microwaves and must be specified and selected when making a reservation. Our property is planning a major renovation in the near future and this includes room upgrades and more. Also, I would like to meniton about the security deposit. Our policy is to require a valid photo ID and a bank issued credit card that matches in order to check people in. You can pay your room and taxes with cash or debit, however, we do not accept them as a form of security deposit. Excellent Value, offering medical discounts in addition to regular. Clean, lots of hot water. We requested 1 bedroom suite & quiet location. 2nd sink in bedroom as well as bathroom. Kitchette was fully stocked, 2 burners.The room had no road noise, our vehicle parked immediately outside the unit. Staff polite, exterior of motel immaculate as well. Location very close to Marine Drive businesses.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants and groceries, the king size bed was very comfortable, the rooms are not cramped. The room was very clean when I arrived. Fresh towels came when needed, and a full cleaning with new sheets was available from house keeping with a quick call to the front desk to book a time. I will stay here again.

Lack of microwave is a big con and inconvenient having to go to lobby (coming from the back end quite a walk while holding food) and use their one and only small microwave while waiting with others to finish. On our second night front desk was informed of our planned late check out this was not communicated and woken up by house-keeping 3x with the reception staff as a 4th knock reminding us that check out was 11 but quickly apologized after being notified that late check out was requested since the night before. Woken up the kids 3x so on the 4th knock we decided to just check out.

The corridors and the room were very clean. I felt safe in this facility, with the evidence of cleaning that I am sure exceeded COVID protocol. We were able to leave our car in the covered parking spot, for there was a good variety of dining experiences within a few minutes' walk from here. Even though this hotel was in a central location, the room was very quiet.

Just be aware that this is not a hotel in any way. You have to go up stairs outside. The room smelt like cleaning supplies to the point that I became congested. There was no heat on. But it’s cheap and I guess if you are just passing through maybe it would be ok. I didn’t stay. The smell really bothered me and the state of the property. You get what you pay for!

This hotel met our needs. We didn’t have housekeeping due to COVID so we had to go to the front desk to ask for things we needed (clean towels, coffee, toilet paper). Unfortunately this hotel does not have breakfast. The restaurant attached to the lobby is nice but a bit expensive. We walked up the street to Denny's which offered a less expensive breakfast. We also had a small kitchenette in our room so we had the option of making breakfast in our room.

SureStay by Best Western North Vancouver Capilano fulfilled my expectations for accommodation away from home. Located close two the Petro Canada and Shell Gas station, with some restaurants in the same street and a bus stop. This hotel had a restaurant with breakfast variety that is served in a clean environment with a front desk team that was attentive to customers with a smile

Close to the suspension bridge and on the way to Whistler. Price is very good and no parking fee. The staff always welcome you with a smile.
This is a 2 stories motel, the upper level is accessed by stairs. Parking can be tight if fully occupied.
Room is spacious and clean, looks new. The washing area is outside the bathroom which adds some flexibility. No USB port. Spare power outlet is few, best to bring a power bar. Air conditioner is working but the front is very much broken (see photo). There are a small table with 2 chairs.
