Detailed Reviews
This travelodge provides more than basic lodging. Public bus stop just couple minutes walk. Restaurant Denny is next to it. Close to downtown via car, or by sea-bus.
The room is quite roomy, it had fridge, microwave oven, coffee and tea. Front desk lady(Asain) was very helpful. The computer(For customers used) need upgrade, should furnish with a printer too. You get more than what you paid for. Highly recommend for a budget traveller.

This hotel is a little worn out but serves the purpose for a short stay and is reasonably priced. It is in a good location. Currently there is much building going on around it. The pool has been filled in and is used for a dog park. Access is easier heading north than south. Pay attention to signs as heading south as you go past the hotel and turn at the next light then go in through the back. There is a Denny's and Pho Japolo (Vietnamese) on the property. It is close to many attractions on the north shore.

Easy access from the rear of the property or off Marine Drive. Conveniently located to restaurants, and access to go into Vancouver. A two storey older motel with clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.

Most hotels do a Pre-auth of your credit card for $100 - $200. This property CHARGES your credit card a whopping $300 for a $80 a night stay in a two star room! Days later, guess what? You're still waiting for a refund. Very unusual and suspicious. You either agree or you don't get the room.

The only redeeming quality about this hotel is the location. Apart from the dismal, grungy atmosphere the room was in absolute disrepair. The $300 deposit is disgustingly high for such poor quality rooms. I'm going to assume it's to keep the local homeless population from renting rooms occasionally.
The bathroom ceiling had a hole that dripped whenever anyone in the building ran a tap, there was a large amount of water damage. The mirrors were scratched up and the towel rack was bent. There were burn marks in the carpet from who knows what. The bed sheets were questionable and the bed was uncomfortable. You can tell the building is ancient from all the wires haphazardly run in the corners above the doors, presumably for ethernet wires. Also not to forget the sheer amount of insects inside the room.
This is not a hotel, it's a downtrodden motel in dire need of repair or renovation. It has none of the services Travelodge usually has and shouldn't bear the Travelodge name.
I've stayed in much nicer rooms for much cheaper and a $50 deposit to boot. The only bright and cheery photo I have uploaded is from a Travelodge nearby I ended up staying at a few days later which had cheaper rates and a deposit ⅙ of the price.

+1
Wyndham needs to review whether this Motel should continue as a part of their franchise branding. When we got there the exterior was horrible but the room itself had some minor upgrades like white linens, comfy pillows, and new laminate floors. Turns out it was absolutely dire everywhere with garbage, old furniture, old socks and appliances and raw chicken in the bushes surrounding the motel, burnt out exterior lights, rust and moss and peeling paint on the exterior. The room interior had new floors but a broken and rusty and dirty a/c unit, cracks and dents in the walls painted over, cracked light switch plates, cracked toilet tank cover, lots of long hair stuck to the shower stall tiles, black mold on the shower grout, fluff and hair from the last guests in the bathroom floor. Worse than all this is when I went to shower and adjusted the water it was initially fine but then every few seconds it switched from scalding hot to freezing cold instead of staying just warm. I politely reported the shower issues (hair and water temp) but nothing else on check out. Absolutely nothing done about it just “we’ll let someone know”. I have more than ten photos but that’s all it will let me upload.

My husband and I and our small dog were traveling from Calgary to Vancouver Island for a 6-month stay, with a carful of household goods. When we got to the hotel, the young woman at the front desk had no record of my having reserved a room that allowed pets and said that they only had one such room left. I said that I would have to be able to see the car from the room and she indicated that I would be able to do so. She ran my credit card before giving me the key and I repeated that I would have to be able to see the car or we could not stay in the room and left the office to go look at it. Not only could we not see the hotel parking lot from the room, but we could not see ourselves spending any time at all in the room! It was...creepy. Dark, with dingy furnishings; the bathroom looked sketchy; and the entire aspect of the room was depressing. I went back to the office to return the key and this time it was a different woman at the front desk who refused to refund me the room charge, even though we had only spent 1 minute in the room! Fortunately, the $300.00 that was pre-charged to my credit card was refunded later, but that 1 minute to look at the room cost us $186.74! It was so unreasonable. I felt totally scammed. Whatever you do, do not make a reservation at or check into this hotel!

DON'T STAY HERE!
This hotel is nothing like the pictures posted on the website. It is not a place to stay if you are traveling with children.
The rooms have no tubs, the showers are small with broken drain covers, and stained carpets.
When I spoke to the woman at the front desk the next morning, she just shrugged.
They charged a $300 security deposit, then sited technical difficulties when it wasn't immediately refunded.
I have contacted the Wyndham group, and will post on as many travel sites as possible to warn people to not book a stay at this dump.

This is by far the worst hotel/motel experience I have ever had. I rented a non-smoking suite, but fell asleep and woke up to pain in my chest, pain in my throat, and blurry vision in my left eye. I was so disoriented that I thought I had a contact lens I had to remove, when I did not. It turns out people like to smoke cigarettes and weed and other things in front of the suites, and the suites in turn fill up with poison.
I was moved to another suite, where next door a man's dog was barking. I waited a few minutes to have someone from the suite above or next door come down and nearly start a fight.

This property is in serious need of renovations and proper cleanliness in guest rooms. We lost power to our room on the last night there which was not restored. The rooms are dirty and in particular the shower stall was unclean with mold and broken tiles.

Thank you for your email. Tourist attractions are plentiful in our area and in nearby downtown. For most tourist things you will find that it is easy access by bus (most things are one bus away) and Seycove Secondary is available by two buses. Downtown is ten to fifteen minutes away from our hotel.
