Also, the fact that they have a complimentary breakfast 7 days a week and free WiFi in every room is an added bonus (especially for families with small children).
Good for the price! Complimentary breakfast is good. Staff is good. Online checkin experience was good. We were getting lot smoking smell in our room. We didn't inform front desk as ours was 1 night stay there.
... easy to get to via the SkyTrain, just a minute or two from the Stadium/Chinatown Station; free and fast WiFi; plenty of nearby restaurants, and a 24-hour 7/11; and (free) coffee in the lobby every morning!
Rooms are usually clean with sufficient ventilation and the common kitchen helps outstation visitors by saving a few dollars on food. They have enough utensils which customers can borrow. We have tried both double...
The room we stayed in had a king size bed, armchair and ottoman, desk (which I worked from each morning and was very well sized), free WiFi, TV, small fridge, free coffee and tea facilities, well sized drawers eit...
Hyatt Regency Vancouver downtown is in an excellent location with walking distance from Canada Place which is the cruise terminal.
As the gate opens, you enter the peaceful, beautifully maintained home of Anita and Manuel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a pitcher of fresh lemonade and homemade cake. Our room was beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the most comfortable nights sleep of our vacation. Fresh squeezed orange juice with oranges from their own trees and fresh omelets with eggs from the chickens on their farm were awaiting us upon waking. Homemade jellies and honey applied the magic touch to the croissants and homemade breakfast cakes. We enjoyed a glass of port wine in the afternoon as we viewed the beautiful roses and vineyards or sat by the lovely pool. In close proximity is the Quinta da Pacheca Wine House and quaint town of Pinhao. It is worthwhile to spend an hour on the terrace of the Vintage House Hotel and enjoy their famous club sandwich while viewing the boasts along the Duoro River. Anita and Manuel are gracious hosts and are eager to make your stay at the Casa Da Azenha and the Duoro Valley a most memorable one. Our most sincere thanks to Anita, Manuel and their staff. Easy on the pocket and a great location quite central. Stayed solo on a visit to Vancouver and was not disappointed. Had a great time would recommend this place for the location as well as the breakfast . The building is old though keep that in mind
This is a moderately priced B&B, centrally located in North Vancouver. The house is an older building, immaculately clean with four rooms. The front two rooms face a busy four lane suburban throughfare and are noisy at all hours of the day. Choose the back suite for quietness. Breakfast is mediocre if you consider a soft boiled egg a hot meal. The rest is cold cuts, bread, jam, coffee and juice. Its the same every day. Service ranges from friendly and helpful to the truly bizarre with scolding and reproach for the slightest percieved infraction of the "rules" which vary from day to day and person to person. Imagine Fawlty Towers without the humour. The website recommends a maxiumum stay of two nights. Heed the advice. M&J- Kelowna, BC
This is a very nice house and the room we stayed in (with roof windows) was bright, exceptionally well decorated, specious, clean, with a large and shiny bathroom. Marianne was very nice and friendly. However, two or three things to be aware of: (1) While the centre is easily accessible, the bus between the house and the sea-bus terminal only runs every 30 minutes as far as I remember, so you have to check the schedules. (2) It is not really quiet - you hear traffic even through the double glazed windows; it's a corner house so even the back room isn't really at the back; while it's not heavy traffic - it is a residential neighbourhood - it's worth knowing if you're looking for a really quiet room. (3) The roof windows are a beautiful feature but might bother some people during summer - as they say on the web site "in the morning the sun will wake you". If you're not too bothered by any of these issues - definitely recommended.…
