Stayed January 13 & 14 for a conference. Room 914 (two queens). The room was very clean, bed and 4 pillows super comfortable. Ice machines are only on 9, 7, 5 and 3. Bar fridge is very cold. There was a musty smell coming from the AC unit - maybe should be cleaned. The food in the restaurant downstairs is excellent ($$$$) but there are many restaurants in the area including The Taphouse next door. Swimming pool and hot tub are closed during the winter months. Staff were very friendly. Recommend!
I just got married on Saturday, and we blocked off a number of rooms at a special rate for our friends and family to book at the executive. I also booked myself a penthouse room for our wedding back in August. My new husband and I showed up at 1 am after our wedding, to check in - and they put us in the most standard, basic crappy King room. When i called down to complain, the man at the desk told me that they didnt have any other rooms available, and no mgmt on site for me to talk to. this was our wedding night, and every one of our guests were in nicer rooms than us. He called back up 15 mins later and told me miraculously there was another room available if iwanted to go check it out - i did, and the room smelt like mold/mildew. I returned to our room, extremely upset and disappointed on my wedding night. The next morning, i called down to talk to a manager and there still wasnt one on site. I spoke to a lady at the desk that said she would comp our room if it were up to her, but couldnt - but could reduce our rate. and would get a manager to call me that afternoon. That was Oct 9th - it is now Oct 13th and i STILL have not heard from management. We could have booked all of our guests into a different hotel, and we should have. What an extremely disappointing stay at the Executive, on what should have been a perfect night. What is the point in reserving a room, and getting the confirmation email - if the hotel wont do their part by actually putting that room aside? They charged for penthouse, but put me in a standard room. We will not be returning to the executive, and we will certainly be telling everyone we know to stay away as well. …
Need I say more. Website and in room menu says rooms service available until 9:30. Called at 8:30 and was told they’re not taking orders because too busy. That’s a terrible way to run a business. Won’t make the mistake of staying here again.
Although the hotel is a bit dated, the staff are so nice and the accommodations lovely. We enjoyed having the separate bedroom and Cal constantly went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return!
A really nice hotel, friendly staff. Good location reasonable price, clean room, great breakfast buffet. Happy Hour a nice touch..the rooms are clean and tidy it’s a stones throw from the train station which is a bonus I’d recommend this hotel .
This room was booked back in February for us coming from Ontario to BC for our daughter’s wedding. Air Canada canceled our flight last minute and we up having to drive out. After three days of driving we arrived at this hotel only to find out they had cancelled our reservation. They claimed we were a no-show the day before even though I had confirmation that I had messaged and had also called them to change the arrival date to one day later. They couldn’t have cared less about the inconvenience and just blamed Expedia, which it wasn’t there fault. I spoke directly with the hotel but they said I did not even when I showed them the message on my phone. They are rude, uncaring and awful. We will never ever attempt to stay at their hotel when we come to visit our daughter. I won’t ever give them a dime of my money after that nonsense.…
I had a wonderful experience at the Executive plaza hotel . Every staff member I encountered, from the bellman to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! The room was wonderful, clean. Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!
The room was very comfortable! Quiet a/c unit, comfortable mattress and very clean Had a great stay. Modern room, nice swimming pool, good price, helpful staff. The restaurant is nice located right in the hotel as well , I recommend this hotel
We arrived to find out that our room for 4 people was two double beds off of Hotwire. We asked if there was any chance to be moved to a queen room since our husbands were 6.5 and 6.2 and my mother is partially handicapped. We were told that there was no queens on site and frankly it was lucky we even got a room! Sorry what? We were told that even tho Hotwire says they will guarantee enough beds for the number of travelers that they do not have to comply. That we could have gotten a single king bed for ALL four people!! The front desk man was rude and very unhelpful. I asked if there was any chance you could cancel our reservation so I could take my mother to a hotel that could accommodate her better. They said no you would have to call Hotwire. I said ok and that I would go outside to call. Long and the short, Hotwire had no problem cancelling for us but had to get the hotel to do it. They call the hotel while I was on hold and the hotel told Hotwire they refuse to cancel the booking because they didn’t think they could now fill the room. Thankfully Hotwire could go around their refusal. What an utter disrespectful front staff, unhelpful and rude to people with disabilities.…
This was one of the best stays I’ve had in a long time. The staff were extremely friendly, the included breakfast was fantastic, the room was very clean, and the location was perfect. I would stay here again for sure.
