Cost: $ 65 TX/In, Fairview Inn was a disappointment.
Pro’s: 1 queen beds, clean not ironed lines, average towels, plenty of hot water. Fridge/freezer, micro wave, Hi-speed internet.

Con’s: Dirty carpet, only toiletries for one person, very little toilet paper, no coffee, no breakfast, second set of towels dirty with short black hair. The smallest flat screen TV I have come across.

Summary: Breakfast advertised but not provided.

My wife and I were driving to Montreal in the night and wanted to stop for a few hours before we headed out to Montreal in the morning. We ended up calling a bunch of hotels and they were the only one to respond with a discounted price considering we were only going to arrive at the hotel at 1 in the morning. The owners were very accommodating and when we got there at 1 am we were upgraded into their largest hotel suit. The room was extremely cold when we entered and it took forever to warm up. It was very clean and the bed was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean. I wouldn't mind staying here again if I am passing through town again. We did not get breakfast in the morning when I went in to return the key so I assumed that wasn't included in the price. Over all it was worth it for the money we paid.

We saw the pictures on the website and thought the rooms looked spacious and nice for a motel. There was a fridge, so that was a bonus. When we arrived, we noticed that the carpet was very stained and old. Even though it was vacuumed, it was disgustingly dirty. The musty odor in the room was extremely bad, and that smell had absorbed into the carpet, blanket and bedspread (and probably curtains). We kept the windows open all the time and the air conditioner during the day to try to air the room out. At night, the musty smell prevailed and woke me up. Overall it was a poor sleep on terribly old mattresses that sunk in the middle (well past the replacement date). The bathroom was clean but not stocked with toilet paper (thankfully there was a kleenex box handy). If you want the breakfast (bread, bagels, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jam, coffee, juice, cereal), you need to call about 15 minutes before you think you want it so that the owner can get up and unlock the door. She is a very pleasant lady and extremely nice. Think twice about staying here though. The 1st Canada Inn got rave reviews and is just down the street. It might be better to check that one out first.

The room was really dirty and super over priced. There was an event in town, so they jacked up the price. There were hairs in the tub and the tap leaked all nights, cobwebs, marks on the walls, the apparent non-smoking room smelled like a smoking lounge, and then there was the cigarette burn marks on the floors. The bedding and two pillows were likely there since the motel was built, and the ac unit as well. There's no way we would ever stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Fairview Inn and has seen great improvements since the previous review was written. The room was very clean with no odors, bathroom sparkling clean. The management was very accommodating. Location is convenient to the highway, downtown area and the US border. We would certainly stay again if in the area.

My husband and i got rained out and stayed there because of our dog they accept animals and now i see why..
To start the fire alarm was beeping kids screaming crying and fighting in what i think was the lobby and a family dinner happening in the back.
Got to our room and walked around not far such small rooms, the washroom had a pair of boxers hanging in the shower, and what looked like blood all over the shower curtain. Bugs smooshed everywhere and what looked like a condom on the wall.. Under the bed well that was just NASTY... Stain on top of comforter and hair all over pillows and sheets. We went to walmart spent 100 on cleaners and bedding because it was just that gross. I cleaned the washroom, my husband went and got a new shower curtain. We bought a game to get us through the nightmare. I started to get ready for bed and flipped the pillows to find blood under not one but two pillow cases.. That was it i packed up my stuff and my dog and made the 3 hour trek to quebec. But hey what is my word to you? Pics say a million WORDS. Wont let me add pics but i have lots

Booked by accident. My husband thought he was booking another motel we had previously stayed at. Upon arrival the lady was very polite at check in. We had been travelling for 9 hours and were extremely tired. The room was a huge disappointment. It smelled old and musty. The air conditioner was the older window type. It smelled bad when turned on. The carpet was old and smelled. There was a used face cloth on the floor. We should have left, but we were exhausted. The bed "shook" every time you moved. We both tossed and turned. My husband coughed all night and ended up with a very sore throat. Neither of us slept. We used our own pillows and blankets. I don't like to write bad reviews but I suggest staying somewhere else.

Bed sheets were clean, but room was at "End of Life" and required thorough refurbishing. Carpet was stained beyond salvation, window AC condenser was plugged with matted dust, lint, and dirt, and room smelt of chemicals and must/mould. Good for One Night Only...if nothing else is available.

Low cost but not cheap enough for what you get. Room had a strong odor.....real strong! Carpets were dirty. Bathroom was ok. The administrators live in room(s) behind reception so it felt like you were walking into someone's cottage.....kid's bikes and toys all over front entry. Reception is more like their family room.....kids eating and watching the tube etc. Not a big deal if it is your cottage but unprofessional for a motel. Their ad says they offer complimentary breakfast, but their was no evidence of it, and no one mentioned it....not that I would have risked it. Room had 2 queen beds for 4 of us...that was good....but only 2 towels. Had to go get more. Was heading east. Should have stayed in Brockville for the night.
