A group of family and friends had the pleasure of visiting Walnut Beach Resort and truly enjoyed the gracious hospitality of all employees, beautiful setting, very clean units and great pool. Lots to do in the area including private beach, golf, wine tours and of course the pool!
My family, friends and I had a wonderful time at Walnut Beach Resort. The only downfall was that less than two hours after checking out, I realized that I left some very important items in my room. My best friends were staying in the room next to me and assured me that no one had been in to clean the room since we left. Both them and I did everything we could to try to get the hotel staff to take a good look, and unfortunately they never did. My friends tried again multiple times to get some answers before it was their time to leave. They were only told that it would be looked into when they had time. 3 days later I finally received a call back and was told that the items were gone. I 100% understand that my things are my responsibility, however I felt this situation was dealt with very unprofessionally and could have had a better outcome with some better actions and communication from the staff. …
We stayed for a week in July 2021. it was our 3rd year in a row and likely our last. Upon arrival our room was filthy and filled with ants. Over the course of the week we needed ant traps and a floor clean to keep them manageable. The ants were still there when we left, just not as many. Still no housekeeping offered due to Covid I suppose. They are also short staffed with very limited menu options and drink service by the pool and beach. The staff do their best but more than 1 staff member told me they were understaffed and owners don't care which is too bad. The location is so great with a nice beach and pool so it's sad to see that they might be ruining it. Prices in summer are amongst the highest in Osoyoos per night so they really need to get back to being a 4 star resort because as of now it's not even close…
We had a wonderful time here; the resort is truly amazing. Staff were very helpful. We had to leave early because of the smoke from the fires and they didn’t charge us a penalty which was very nice. thank you!
We had to cut our stay short because of the recent fire, but before we left we had a great time. We found the resort to be clean, quiet and relaxing. Our room had a gorgeous view and the beds were comfortable. I was a little worried about booking times for the pool but it made the pool less busy and more enjoyable. There was also lots of last minute availability for the pool. The private beach was a clean and there were lots of chairs available. Being a little further away from the town meant that we weren’t as close walking distance to other amenities but we preferred how quiet it was on that side of the lake. We will definitely stay here again.
