Photos on site looked great. However rv sites not meant for large rv's. Only 20 amp service. Sites not level. Washroom facilities extremely poor. Place has potential but a long way to go. Even making allowances for the fact that they had been in the wildfirefire alert zone before we got there it was no way worth the $60 a night fee. It was a ripoff!!
We did a 3 night stay in the Arosa Ranch campground and we would recommend it! Some Pros are: quiet, beautiful views, ranch is really nice, owners seemed really nice, pool and hot tub. It’s also 6ish degrees cooler than Osoyoos, we highly enjoyed the cooler nights after 36C days! Cons: the spots (particularly 6-9) are made for small motor homes, which makes parking your trailer really tricky, spots are also not very level so you’ll need extra leveling boards, in hindsight we would have liked site 4 or 5 better. If you’re bringing your dog, there are a lot of foxtails. All in all, a great alternative to staying Osoyoos!
A scenic and peaceful place just outside of Osoyoos. Surrounded by nature, panoramic views, constant parade of birds and wildlife, even a small herd of resident horses roaming around! RV facilities were comfortable, and hosts Tom and Maya very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended ! We would definitely come back.
We were able to stay at Arosa for a couple of weeks in Sep 2020, and we are so grateful to have discovered this beautiful and peaceful gem in the hills above Osoyoos. We stayed in the campground, which is beautifully laid out with only about 12 sites, set amongst the grazing land for the horses that are billeted at the ranch. The view looking south is spectacular, with the US border just along the southern edge of the large property. Sunsets and sunrises are stunning, and you will see deer, eagles, hawks, owls, coyotes and the resident horses roaming freely around the perimeter of the campground adding to the landscapes natural ambience. Maya was a great host, and the facilities at the campground were always kept clean and well stocked for our use. There are even some great hiking trails that take you around the property and around the beautiful man made reservoir at the property's center. So much more peaceful than down in the valley at any of the campgrounds near the city, yet all of that remains accessible to you during your stay, as do the old mining towns further east towards Grand Forks. A pretty great place to come and enjoy the highlands of the Okanagan Valley in a peaceful and scenic setting. We will be back!…
This is a fantastic property with very friendly and helpful hosts, thanks Maya, Tom and your team. My family had a wonderful stay. It’s a short drive from Osoyoos and well worth it! The temperature is a few degrees lower at night and sooooooooooo comfortable👍. We stayed in one of the two private cabins which was fully equipped and offered us a variety of cooking options. There are so many lodging options here. We also enjoyed the private lake for some swimming but you can also just lounge around on an inflatable, that’s our plan next time we come back. We were also able to take a hike around the large property and we bumped into one of the locals ( horse 🐴) along the way. Staff offer the little amenities like firewood sales nightly, that was a bonus. This is an excellent rustic get away; a hidden gem that everyone on our trip recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…
Arosa Ranch just underwent an ownership change recently. The new owner, Maya, was very pleasant and accommodating. Her daughter is the same age as my daughter, and they played together at the playground every day while we were there. Our visit was in late July and we drove through Osoyoos to get there. I was just happy that Arosa is up on a mountain and a few degrees cooler than the city. It's located about 20 minutes away from Osoyoos, and we drove down there a couple times to restock. We stayed there for 6 nights. The first 3 nights we camped in their camping area. It is a short distance to their washrooms and showers, which were kept very clean (as they should be, during this whole covid pandemic). We were allowed to have a campfire, which was really nice, as the temperature drops quite a bit at night. The next three nights we decided to stay in their Bed & Breakfast suite downstairs in their main house. After camping it was really nice to have our own washroom and shower. And the suite walked right out on to their giant lawn. There is no kitchen to use, but there was a bbq and hot plate available for our use. The kids loved running around there, especially when the sprinklers turned on. There was also a coffee machine and toaster oven to use, as well as a bar fridge. In conclusion, we had a great time and we are looking forward to making Arosa Ranch an annual vacation destination for our family.…
Spent two nights relaxing at an RV site on this beautiful property. The new owners were welcoming. I imagine this place to be stunning throughout the four seasons. There is lots to do if your children enjoy the outdoors.
This guest ranch offers up 2 bed & breakfast rooms, 2 cabins and 9 camper spots. In the main house in the walkout basement, there is a pool table and coffee machine - no note, no decaf other than tea. There is a mini fridge for use by the 2 bed & breakfast rooms. There is an above ground pool. My room was small, but clean and comfortable. Without a/c or a fan, it was undeniably warm in there, even with the black out vertical shades. However I felt quite safe to sleep with my patio door open at night, and letting the cooler night air come in through the screen door. The only issue I had was with the shower in the morning - it was more like a trickle of water. Not the best shower sorry to say. However when I got upstairs to sit down for breakfast, Mariane had set the table for one (I was the only staying in a b&b room) and on it was a lush display of fruits, cheese, nuts, cereal choices and piping hot coffee. Mariane is Swiss and you will soon find out how she came about to build her own Swiss chalet here in Alberta. Dinner can be an issue if you don't want to drive back down to Osoyoos or eat at the Mexican food restaurant that is literally 5 minutes down the road. I chose to eat Mexican. Su Casa was a true Mexican experience. The view from the entrance to the ranch is just amazing...you're looking at the mountain ranges just over the U.S. border.…
