We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront property in Osoyoos. Our one bedroom lakefront suite was spotless, with all the amenities you would expect and more for this caliber of hotel. With a fully equipped kitchen, large balcony with table and chairs, it was perfect! There's a variety of rooms to choose from, for both short and long term stays. If you're looking for a more upscale lakefront resort, you can't beat Watermark. Their very own 15 Park Bistro, is outstanding for casual fine dining on site. Be sure to check my blog for a more detailed review and photos.
The height of luxe in the centrefold of BC wine country, the Watermark Beach Resort offers elegant accommodations . Sitting pretty on Osoyoos Lake it provides a convenient base camp to explore the Okanagan area's Golf courses, water sports, fun on the beach and the countless award winning vineyards and vino tastings. There is a lot to love about the property itself: the lakeside restaurant, on site spa , gym and yoga studio and a family configurable stash of rooms and suites. The rooms and suites layouts and amenities were designed and built with families in mind. There is a diverse repertoire of accommodations here, that spread across a mix of studio apartments; 1, 2, and 3 bedroom suites and penthouse plus beachfront villas which feature balconies, gas fireplaces and full kitchens. Each of the resorts suites boast a balcony, a kitchenette and a lake or mountain view. I wasn't keen on cooking but I wanted a choice view, so a suite was my choice. The decor of my room echoed the colours of the desert and lake: sand green and deep blue. My bath was spacious with modernistic features. The signature Watermark Restaurant, the 15 Park Bistro is located at 15 Park Bistro, the very address of the resort. With its newly revamped flagship black and white accent wall, this eatery brings a touch of class to Osoyoos lakeside dining. The culinary team crafts dishes with flare and the aid of fresh flavours sourced from local farmers and purveyors. The muscle of the menu is the Lobster Bar serving up Lobster Bisque, Ravioli, Mac & Cheese and my favourite, Lobster Nachos. Among many items on the menu I opted, for starters, Classic Onion Soup; for apps, Prawn Cocktail; and my favourite selection; Pan Seared Arctic char........all were very favourable culinary dishes. An extensive Okanagan wine list graced the 15 Park Bistro as well as groovy signature cocktails including a 15 Park Martini and a Bistro Berry Sangria......terrific tangy and tasty. The on-site Levia spa offers an impressive array beauty and wellness therapies. The spa specializes in eco-friendly and home-made products that are immersed in treatments like minerals soaks and other rituals. A companion facility to the spa is the Breathe Studio with a busy programme of spinning, yoga, pilates and TRX classes paired with a gym and steam rooms. The pool area is a busting place with a heated outdoor saltwater pool, hot tubs, communal barbecue space, pool bar with food service and showers to wash off the sand. If you are searching for a family oriented resort chucked full of activities and water sports as well as tours of countless award winning wineries.......then try the........... Central location downtown. Lakeside. Reservation for on site restaurant recommended. Let them know if you have an after supper event so they are timely with their service. Our suite was roomy and well appointed. Our room patio was generous size with a table and four chairs. Thumbs up.
My partner and I stayed here for three nights. The restaurant and its staff were amazing and the food was excellent. We ate there all three nights and enjoyed the food immensely. The room, however, was not amazing. We were advised only six days prior to our arrival that the pool was not working and that we could cancel. We did not have another weekend that worked and really wanted to go to Osoyoos. There was insufficient time to find something comparable. When we arrived we found the room to be in very poor condition (see pics). Walls were scuffed, the lampshade stained, the phone shabbily put together and the shower curtain rod rusty. When we advised the front desk staff of these issues they were initially nice and said they would call us when they found what they could do. But they didn’t. We can back a couple hours later and spoke to the manager, who offered us nothing. She said we could pay to upgrade to another room but said “ I cannot guarantee the lampshade won’t be the same”. Shocking. Nothing. We were polite and she was dismissive and rude. No apologies, no offers of something to do for guests with legitimate concerns about the state of their room. We loved osoyoos and plan to return annually, but will not be staying here.…
Our recent stay was was quite disappointing!! The customer service was terrible. Was not informed the pool was closed due to maintenance. Ask to have a few chairs set up out on the pool deck because one of the two hot tubs were open. There was no where to sit and no towel at pool side. Front desk basically could care less with any request for chairs or lack of towel at pool side. Ask to speak to manager and the front desk manager would not return our calls. When he finally picked up he was totally throwing the housekeeping department under the bus and saying that any discount he offered would come out of the housekeeping budget?? WTH?! Sorry was totally disgusted with the way we were treated and will never stay there again!!! The lack of Customer service was pathetic. The room are outdated and the pub next door can be pretty loud on Friday and Saturday nights.…
